Because wrestling has always been this way. Someone is booked to look strong in the build up to a PPV, doesn't triumph.

Take my word for it; Cena will not win the Rumble.

That was actually a good ending to an otherwise awful show.

Rock/Cena last year would have been much better if they had been as physical as Rock/Punk, instead of dissing each other on the mic all the time.

People talk about Rock not being dedicated to WWE, but at least he shows up to promote feuds/matches, entertain the paying fans, and make the WWE some more money, when he doesn't have to do so any of that.

Austin is a legend, probably the greatest of all time, but what is his excuse for tonight? I know it wasn't his fault that he missed RAW 1000 in July, but don't tell me that he's still recovering from knee surgery or whatever it was six months later.

With it being the big anniversary and being in Texas, he could at least have made an effort and not left the fans disappointed.

    - It's been noted how WWE was planning to bring back several Superstars for the 20th Anniversary of RAW next week. Some stars who were told to keep the date open for an appearance were just told that the creative direction for Monday's RAW was changed and they will not be bringing back any stars.

It's possible WWE still may bring back a few guys, maybe one or two and not a large number of guys like they originally planned.

We all know that Taker and HBK will be back in the lead up to WrestleMania at some point though. It is confirmed that Undertaker will be wrestling again and HBK always reappears around this time of year, for one reason or another.

The same is not true with Austin. He is a bigger draw than both of those men and thus, is more elusive and makes less appearances than your average legends. I know he has other commitments, but don't try and tell me that Vince didn't try and get him there tonight. He is one of the biggest names in wrestling history and got the WWE to where it is at today. He obviously turned them down for other commitments, which I think is a little disrespectful, considering it was only going to be a one night gig.
