I think he thought the goal was going to disallowed, from a differant angle he palmed off the motherwell player as the throw was taken, but the video doesn't show it.

No doubt The Hun and The Daily Ranger will have front page news of him being unhappy and wanting away in the summer because Celtic never sold him to a Russian club..............................sorry, wait, they'll keep that for the week of a huns game.

Correct me if im wrong but i dont see anyone complaining
a few of us was wondering why he looked so glum and if he was ok, and ive seen everyone of his goals and not once has he acted like that, but its no big deal, if something happens out of the ordinary then people will always ask questions :50:

Wouldn't take notice of it. He wasn't having the best of games, and I think he knew that. Maybe that's why he wasn't exactly jumping for joy.

you're totally right there's not of a story on this. how many times did we see The King do this? He's just relieved that he's done his bit. Irregardless Hoopers still the man :icon_mrgreen:

thought it was pretty wierd tbh, probly because we do all look at it as fans and know that if it was most people on here scoreing that goal they'd go mad, more than likley nothing.

He looked genuinely down. Not disinterested, just down.

    Numerous possible reasons:
    - Lennon gave him a bollocking at half-time (he criticised him in his post-match interview).
    - His team mates/fans have been getting on at him and he feels unappreciated (IMO he's been hit or miss in recent home games) and he's feeling the pressure.
    - He could have got some bad news at half-time and didn't really want to be on the park (I think he was subbed pretty soon after he scored).
    - He missed out on an England call-up over players who've scored less often than him; it could be a message to Stuart Pearce (if it is this I'd be concerned).
    - The Russian transfer window just closed, and he was linked with all sorts of moves over there (again, would be very concerned).
    - Very, very unlikely, but there's a chance he maybe just doesn't like scoring past Darren Randolph (they played together at Hereford - could be mates off the park) and it's just the professional courtesy of not rubbing it in his face.

Whatever the reason - if there is one - it reminds me of the Larsson goal. I honestly think there is or was something seriously wrong in the kid's head. Maybe and hopefully he just thought he'd do it as something different.

Or maybe it's a dig at Rangers...i.e. having to do his job despite knowing he's diminishing the chances of someone else finishing above them. :icon_mrgreen:

I think it betrays a little complacency possibly.

We reckon the titles in the bag and were just relieved.

Very often he doesn't celebrate his goals, no biggie. He done the business today, all I relly care about tbh. Champions again :shamrock:.

He does prefer playing with Stokes, but I would highly doubt his non-celebration has anything to do with that

Just one of those things imo

Like someone else said too Forrest never celebrated when he scored the other night yet he usually runs about like Larsson with the arms out or I think has done every other goal hes scored.
