Hooper and Stokes really have been fantastic together.

Hooper and Stokes must start every game together for me, by far our best partnership at the club.

Stokes is by far our most creative outlet in the final third. Which is why I shake my head in disbelief every time we're looking for a spark and bring him off for Ki...who is supposedly a playmaker.

The exact change we made this weekend that changed the game funnilly enough.

I also don't know who labels Ki as a playmaker either, he isn't.

Stokes was the top assister too last season with 17.

In total for us he has played 76 games and has 39 goals and 30 assists :eek1:

Hooper has played 79 games and has 42 goals and 21 assists. So Stokes has actually provided 6 more goals than Hooper overall in 3 less appearances. But Hooper has played more Rangers and European games and Stokes has scored 4 more penalties than Hooper so its tight.

Agree very frustrating. I cant take my eye off ki and his movement off the ball. Its * terrible. Just does so little running and sometimes hes 2 or 3 feet away from someone running with the ball asking for a pass. How hes ahead of mcourt or commons nevermind coming on for stokes is beggars belief.

I was sure Ledley had a couple more assists.

Was looking at our SPL stats last night, couldn't believe Stokes had 11 league goals, thought he would have had much more than that.

Stokes is brilliant, also surprised at how much Commons contributed given how much he's played.

Also 7 goals and 5 assists from Ki is not that bad, although he could be doing even better.

Ki coming on did not change the game at the weekend. I don't know how many times this myth has been peddled  Commons delivery and Samaras' header did.

The game changed when he came on, an off form Stokes being removed for Samaras through the middle and us getting a grip in midfield changed the game.

Not a coincidence that 15 minutes after his introduction we had 60% possesion instead of the 54% that we had beforehand.

What does a 6% increase in possession have to do with Commons sticking one right on Samaras' head and him putting it past the St Johnstone keeper? :56:

    Goals win games not possession.

It gave us a platform to control the game, which I always want to see Celtic doing.

Put it this way, do you think we played better with Ki on the pitch or not? It was a good call by Neil, one that worked. He was also involved in the 2nd goal.

He’s the best wide player at the cub, regardless of playing time.

Hard to fault either of them with returns like that, just imagine if they were more consistent

It was a good call to take a striker of but if im being petty about it hooper shouldve been hooked, contributed absolutely zilch.
