I'm not convinced he is gonna get back in our team on a regular basis. Something that would have been unthinkable for most of last season.

he has too imo, Mulgrew is good at LB, but i prefer him at CB, and even if Mulgrew is playing LB.....Izzy is better than him....there is no doubt about that, he showed his class last season....hes one of our very best

His injury has really taken it's toll on him. Not physically, as he's fully recovered, but it's really affected his place in the team. There seemingly isn't a way back in for him right now and again, that shows just how talented this bunch of players really are.

One of the most important rules in football is that you should never tamper with a winning team, especially not a team that's won 16 games on the trot and doesn't look like stopping any time soon.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but putting Izzy back in the team right now would not be a good thing. We've found a great level of consistency without him and until we slip up (which ideally, would be never), I don't think he should come back into the starting XI.

If izzy is fully fit and ready to go then id have him starting, he is by far our best LB and will only improve the team.

Kayal would be my first name on the teamsheet.

why? we've found a great level of consistancy.....with more than 11 players playing a big part....and various different systems used....along with say....forster, mathews, rogne, mulgrew, ledley, brown, kayal, vic forrest, hooper and stokes(a reasonal starting lineup in this run.....players like Cha, Maj, Wilson, Ki, Commons and sammy have all had n influence on this winnign run....plus ledley has often played LB, if he can play there, why cant izzy?

a defence of Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Izzy, is better than Matthews Rogne Wilson Mulgrew or Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Ledley

there is no reason why Izzy cant come back and we continue our run, no reason at all, due to the consistant results....with a largely inconsistant team selection

EDIT: Also "One of the most important rules in football is that you should never tamper with a winning team"

this may be a philosophy alot of managers use.....consistancy is the best policy, but its something Lenny has quite frankly ignored.....changing his team often....rotating strikers midfielders and defenders......dont be surprised if Ki starts today for example....yet we still keep winning, cause our squad is strong.....the most successful manager in british football rotates alot.....must be something in it

As soon as Izzy is properly fit, mentally and physically, he should be starting. This injury was a nasty one, and it will take a lot out of him. He needs bled back into the team, starting with today (ICT). Best place to play him is CP.

I agree with you about his ability but I think because Chico and Joe are so interchangeable that they will get in in front of him for a bit.

There's only 1 player in the squad that is head and shoulders above the rest in his position and that is Forster.

Following that, for me, Ledley would be playing every single week.

Honestly lads, who's voting for Paddy McCourt?? That's got to be a wind up. I voted for Joe Ledley, probably the most consistant player we have.
