    Knocked back 3year deal £100,000 a week from china, £25,000 from besiktas in Turkey, £30,000 from spar tak Moscow in Russia

    Has an offer from Southampton while Sevilla and hamburg are also pursuing him.

    The man has integrity which is why he played for us so long taking a pay cut. WGS was quoted as saying this even when offers were coming in with more money.

    He wants to play in a top European league and I say good luck to him

    Not much players would turn down £100k a week to move to China. Say what you like about Sammy's commitment on the field, but his attitude off the park is exemplary. Never gets himself into any controversial situations, was brilliant with wee Jay Beatty, and has now shown that he cares about football more than money - which is more than can be said for most footballers.
