Love the big guy. Living down in England, I'm constantly facing people saying he was pish at Man City, his performances now show how * the SPL is, how below par Celtic are etc... my friend said to me the other day 'looks like he's found his level now', I responded 'Aye, the Champions League!' Didn't he * prove it tonight! I thought he was terrific, a good goal (which surely has to go down as his, it was going in), won everything in the air and really stretched the Barca defence. Losing him was a big blow and who knows, maybe we would have got something had he not gone off. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looked, looked at first like a broken ankle the way he went over on it.

I remember you in particular not being his, ahem, biggest fan. :icon_mrgreen:

But hey, we all make mistakes! :50:

EDIT: And for the record that's 4 goals in 4 consecutive European away games. Even Henrik never did that! (I think)

On both Uefa and SSN websites he's been credited with the goal.

Exactly this. We needed someone to take the pressure off and there's nobody more capable of that in the current squad than Samaras. We really lost our main threat going forward.

big Sammy could play for the likes of barca if the big * sorted his self out, and I believe he would be an asset for them, but the big man is like a rabbit under a lamp at times he has loads of skill and did not look under any pressure out there
a good sign but he will not lay the ball of for himself to get a better returned ball while in on attack IF only he would make the pass to give himself room to get on a better ball.
