Huge miss when he went off. Needed his presence going forward.

A month would be decent if he's properly injured it.

won't expect him back for the return leg unfortunately :54:

Neil Lennon said he should be out for around 10 days to a fortnight.

Would have been a different game had he stayed on as he was the 1 proper option we had when we got the ball. He can run with it, he can hold it up and he can bring others into the game.

With him going off so did any chance of us getting a foothold in the Barca half, which was a real shame.

An injury to Sammy was my biggest fear from these two games (my second biggest is big Vic picking up another yellow)...really rotten luck. We need him back asap, really miss him at this level. Anything against Barca would be an unexpected bonus, 2nd place will be won or lost in the final two games: we need a draw in Portugal and to win our home game against Spartak Moscow. Tough, but not impossible. We NEED Sammy back and fully fit for those two to have any real chance. I still think we might regret those two dropped points at home to Benfica.

Sammy going off more or less * our gameplan though Forrest made a good start to the 2nd though think Barca got wise to him.

Hope it's not too bad, really need him for Europe.

Did he get given the goal right enough? Had Sammy and 1-0!

I experienced a strange feeling tonight. When Sammy went off injured, I really found myself sitting there thinking '*!'. He's become such an important player for us in Europe. To think back to how hopeless he was 18 months ago, then look at how he's playing now, it really is a remarkable turnaround.

I hope the big fella is fit for the return game at Parkhead. We'll need him.
