Georgios Samaras

samaras wasnt one of our top performers last season he played about 10 games to the required level ,towards the end of the season.
he played well in thoes matches but thats what i expect from a celtic winger/striker some people must be very easily pleased

 

278 pages, crazy. Doubt there's ever been such a controversial player for us. I do think that a lot of people pick him as a scapegoat, very unfairly most of the time.

Personally, i'm a big fan. Last season was his best for us so far, and long may it continue. He will be crucial if we qualify for the Champions League group stages as he is best against teams which allow him space, on big pitches, where he can use his speed. There's no denying it; Sammy is brilliant when running at players, and whilst he may not look like the most graceful player, he does the job (as was shown by his performance against Germany!)

He's also very commited and clearly loves the club. Lots of players would have had enough by now, with all the crap he has got in the past, and in my eyes this proves he does really care about Celtic, which Lennon I think understands.

 

Im praying Sammy plays as he has been next season, his overall play has been impressive of late i feel.
Maybe just maybe we should be looking to bring in a greek player to the team, it worked for Ki with Cha.

Papadopalous, Karagounis or Ninis

 

if the financial side of things was right id take him here in a second. rate him quite highly

 

Papadopalous looked brilliant at CH for greece wouldnt mind havin a punt at buyin him but think he plays for schalke or some german team

Dont think the who idea of needin another greek to help sammy settle is necessary but for a ch like we need papa would do rightly

 

dont see what another greek would really do....he's been here 4 and a half years and played over 170 games in the Hoops, think hes more than settled

 

Why not just get another player with really long hair
who people can take an instant dislike to.Thereby
letting sammy off the hook.

 

Seems we're not the only ones frustrated by him!

Samaras advisor states that he's having to report an agent in England to the FA for making an illegal approach to our player!

 

Where did you see this ? There will certainly be several clubs interested in Samaras after his decent Euros performances.

Should see what clubs are willing to offer and weight it up. Though I'd expect a decent fee for him now.

Sammy's agent deserves a medal if we manage to make a profit on him

 

I'd love to get Papadopoulos over here: 1) because he's a v good centre-half; 2) so we can get more weird slow-motion clips of him and Samaras.

 

Papadopoulos is only 20 years of age and is already a regular for Greece and Schalke. Not a hope in * we'd have even the slightest chance of signing him.
