no, i told you to keep quiet because i attend far more games than you probably do. not because of where you live.

my "lone" boo aye? well if you were at the game then youd see that it wasnt just me, but several thousand fans. and it going unnoticed? it was brought up in a press conference. i would class that as being "noticed".

you still havent pointed out where i said i was a better fan than you?

That isn't the point at all. We all know (and I keep saying this) that Samaras (in normal circumstances) is not as good a striker as Stokes or Hooper. Nowhere have I suggested let's play him every game this season.

I only want to state 2 things:
    1) Samaras has a place in the squad. We will not find a better 3rd/4th choice striker, mark my words.
    2) In the here and now (or at least before/after the Sion game) Samaras was the logical choice to play and proved this by putting in a better performance than Stokes and Commons.

I'm not quite sure what people are wanting from Lennon/Samaras with respect to the Sion game?

We started the first 15 minutes in the traditional 4-4-2 (against Sion's bizarre 3-4-3) I can see exactly why Lennon went 4-3-3 after that point - firstly the 4-4-2 wasn't working, and generally 4-3-3 trumps a 3 man defence quite easily as Martin O'Neill once found out.

So should Lennon have played a 4-3-3 with Stokes in the centre? Guess what? He did and it was worse.

Should we have played a 4-4-2 with Stokes and Maloney as the two strikers? That's a reasonable shout but don't forget Maloney is generally considered a winger, has played about half an hour of football in the past year and the more broad strategic problem in having 2 miniature strikers played up top. It's a rare thing to see.

Simply, Samaras was the more logical choice and proved it by performing better than his peers. The fact people are using the Sion game as a beating stick stinks of lack of understanding of the game.

not so sure. maloney played at the weekend and looked good, played well with stokes. samaras hadnt played at all.

plus if we were going to play a 4-5-1, then have maloney and commons out wide with stokes through the middle. think that wouldve been the better way to line up. or atleast with samaras and stokes up top as a 4-4-2.

How do you know you attend more games then me? The only thing you know about me is that I'm from England, so that's the only thing you can base that on.

Noticed? Maybe. However Lenny said that you should lay off him, so it's pointless which was what I meant. He's not going to change his opinion of him because a few people boo.

Slating him will only make things worse , he will eventually think * this lot I ain't going to try today .

Whilst he is still a Celtic player I will always support him as should everyone , all this I pay money I am entitled to my opinion stuff gets on my nerves , yes you are entitled to your opinion but keep it to yourself it doesn't help sammy or the team by openly slating the guy especially at our home ground. I personally never hear any of this * at away grounds only the so called fortress that is Celtic park

Starting Samaras in Europe, sticking up for him after getting slated by the majority of the Celtic support, yet not even bringing him off the bench in a game where we were trailing at home really boggles the mind.

I know what you mean. I don't know why he wouldn't bring him on. We good have used his height in the box. We must have had about ten crosses that no one got on the end of in that second half.:54:

I can't agree, this guy has had more chances than most players. He lives well within his own comfort zone, when you work hard for your wages and then witness his lack of effort it's hard to take mate.

He should never been offered a new contract, it seemed to be based on one performance against the Huns, for me that's simply not enough.

  17. Some people are suggesting Sammy could be good in defence.
Could he be converted to a centre back ? He has got the height and pace, and he can be a hacking * when he wants to be.
