Good player, I'd be generally pleased if we signed him, however he'll no doubt demand big wages, and we don't really need him.

I do like Stephen Hunt, but we don't need him. We have Commons, Sammy, McCourt and even Ledley for LM. We have enough midfielders.

Sky Sports understands Celtic are eyeing a move for Wolves midfielder Stephen Hunt before the transfer window slams shut.
Hunt[IMG] has struggled to hold down a regular place in Mick McCarthy's starting line-up this season and the news has alerted Celtic[IMG] to his possible availability.
Republic of Ireland[IMG] international Hunt has been left out of the Wolves starting line-up for their two most recent Premier League matches, a defeat by Chelsea[IMG] and draw against Tottenham, where he came on as a second-half substitute.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon[IMG] is thought to be an admirer of Hunt and he is now weighing up a move for the all-action winger as he looks to bolster his squad.
Former Reading man Hunt could be tempted by a move to Celtic as he looks for regular first-team football to boost his chances of breaking into the Ireland side for this summer's Euro 2012 finals.
Hunt has made 46 appearances for Wolves and scored seven goals since arriving from Hull in the summer of 2010.

Would need to punt commons and would stunt the chances of Ibrahim. Not sure, I do like him though.

I like Hunt but we really don't need him and I'd rather Commons was given another go tbh.

Because you cant have 3 good first team players for one position?

And Commons has now been dire for as long as he was good. Has consistancy issues, exactly what fans of his old club were saying.

Media talk me thinks. Can't see us doing anything else this window and we'll only be looking to add in the summer after a few leave.

I also like what I've seen of Hunt but just don't see us needing another midfielder right now.

Agree with your first point but I feel your second is a tad harsh. He actually started the season reasonably well before getting injured. On his return he made a daft mistake and got sent off but I think people forget that, against Hearts that day, he was probably our best performer until that stage. Another injury seen him out until only a few weeks ago and it's always tough bouncing straight back from an injury - look at Izzy. He looked good v St. Mirren last week too, changed the game.

So you admit he is good then
He is coming back after a long term Injury ,You don't walk straight in to your stride after so long out ,The last 2 League games he came on as Sub and he was the difference in Celtic winning or drawn these games ,maybe he got away with it at his old club ,he won't get away with it at Celtic .

    Back to Hunt.
Would'nt touch him ,Would he better that position ,I don't think so .

So how do you keep 3 players expecting to be in the first team, in the first team for one position? Play them out of position? nah.

It would just lead to unhappiness and lack of harmoney. One thing we really don't want at the moment. And also, we have McCourt.

I prefer the options Samaras offers us anyways. I don't personally see Commons ever becoming the player he has the potential to become.

Hunt is alright, reminds me a bit of Alan Thompson.

Commons has tonnes of potential, no doubt about that. Its his attitude I question.
