    I think Russell could make the step up with us alright, he is a consistent goalscorer, and could be another Stokes's type in the making.

    Plus Russell has greater pace, more skill, is more versatile in his playing style and more willing to do the hard work. In other words a much better player than Goodwillie.

    Swap deal with Rasmussen for Russell? I like Russell, so hopefully we could press on with this one and get him signed!

    EDIT: Just saw there is a post a few pages back and Dundee United wouldn't match his wage demands. Nevertheless still hope we can work out a deal for him :50:

    give them ras plus 500k - £1million. Ras is not going to do it here, might do well for them, and Russel has a very bright future ahead of him.
    Doubt it'll happen and we might wait until the summer to sign him.

    Yeah I read a bit in the paper today where he said he is happy in the SPL and is in no rush to leave so this one might be ok to leave until the summer

    I don't think there will be anymore players through the door. We now have 6 strikers wether we want them or not. Hooper, Stokes, Samaras, Brozek, Bangura and Rasmussen.

    Samaras is more of a winger and Rasmussen will not be playing for Celtic again I wouldn't say. I'd prefer if we signed a CB though to be honest.
