Never seen the guy play but we badly needed cover and obviously Lenny decided the guy can do the job, & that it was better to take the 6 month loan rather than risk ending up with nobody.

The fact that Huns were all set to announce him as theirs this weekend will see them going ape over on RM.

ive had enough of going for the cheap option time and time again. it would be nice for us to sign someone who we have actually heard of for once, someone who we will get us excited when we hear he has signed.

Bit of an anti-climax when names like Cisse were being thrown around. I trust Lennon's judgement though.

i know, but still, it would be nice to show bring in a marquee signing every now an again. anyway, all those people were quite young when we signed them, this guy is 28. I would just have been happier if we signed someone that we know to be good.

seems like he had a really good scoring record when he was in Poland, cant wait to see him in action and hopefully he will bang in a few crucial goals for us and plus Rangers can't have him now so thats a bonus :celt_2:

We play in the SPL, which unfortunately just now is worse than it's ever been, the days of bringing in "marquee" signings is gone im afraid! I'll trust lennys judgement as it has been pretty good so far!:50:

That will be Phil Macs doing mate, he mentioned us signing a big name last weekend and its set everyone off mentioning names like Cisse, Toni and Pavlychenko.

Lets give the guy a chance though, i know nothing about him but i trust Lenny and the scouting team.

Names like Cisse were never going to sign for Celtic in this window.

That was Phil McGilliven talking one absolute load of lies.

Not necessarily. I would have considered Keane in 2010 and Ljungberg in 2011 to be marquee signings. We also rejected Zenden last year and you could argue that he is pretty high profile, for SPL standards anyway.

I don't think anybody has access to solid links, but I'd say there's a 99% chance it's true. Radio Clyde were reporting it earlier and Speirs wrote it on Twitter.

    Not excited.

I said in an earlier post, we seem to bulk buy from certain markets. We suddenly buy alot of players from Scandinavia and then we buy lots of African players, now we get Fojut on a pre and then this guy. None of the polish lads seem even slightly sure of why we went for Fojut and by all accounts this guys record is not impressive. The bargain option has been taken yet again.

And yes, Iza, Kayal etc have turned out to be great and I hope this guy does too, obviously. I just feel that we've paid the price for not gettting in proven quality before and we CANNOT afford any more slip-ups - not this time, with their off-field debacle and paltry resources, it would be too much to bear (pun not intended) thinking about.
