Lambert would be better, gets the team playing great football, believes in the youngsters and sticks to his guns and certainly gets them motivated even after so many horrible defeats. So there is no way we would get him, even if Villa get relegated which they won't he would still stay at the club. I think someone like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be the sort of manager I would like to see or someone along the same lines that has worked with a big club then moved onto a smaller club and learned their trade.

the absoloute dross performances in the domestic competitions this season that look as if the players arent motivated are the biggest disapointments celtic fans have had this season

and neil has noticed the crap lacklustre performances but seems unable to do anything about it, because he did identify it a good few times in his interviews but future performances showed that we still done it

the players don't seem to have any problems getting up for it in the champions league

is he too close to the players ? maybe thats why people say he doesnt drop his favourites!

sammy is very up and down as a player always has been since he's been with us, but usually its only in domestic matches in europe he ups his game

wanyama has been poor since getting all the plaudits in his champions league performances, so having the 2 of them in your starting line up domestically imo shows then you combine them two having crap games and the big guy ambrose tris to dribble out from defence leads the team from bad too worse and then you've got hooper who doesn't look interested either

i dont think any top team could play well consistently if you have these 5 regulars NOT UP FOR IT get rid of the lot of them.

well except for efe as he can play in midfield next season

as for a manager after neil, paul lambert all the way but doubt he would take the job but surely we could attract a decent coach ffs we are celtic

there's lots of leagues out with the big 4 with decent teams and coaches

Lambert has already stated somewhere - I'm sure - that he doesn't ever want to manage Celtic due to the gold-fish bowl mentality of Glasgow.

Wanyama said he would like to stay, plus Brown will be back, Ledley, Rogic should get his chance, they will start ahead of Ambrose. On getting rid of players Hooper will be going, Kayal, McCourt should be out and bring in a few more young players, Rogne wants a new contract but won't get one unless he proves his fitness so will be gone as well probably.

wanyama won't stay that's just him helping us get a better fee

ledley might be off aswell thought kayal would stay but he might want to go because of the lack of games this season

you need to be realistic there's probably 5 or 6 clubs in the championship that can give them the same or even more money than we give them

rogic is really a unknown, efe played his best game in midfield for us 1st game even though it was only raith rovers

Ledley won't go, they would get more money but they can make a name for themselves in Champions League that's why Commons, Hooper, Ledley, Wilson and more came to Celtic from the Championship. Kayal hasn't turned out to be the player we thought he would so he no doubt will go. Efe is still a bombscare, no doubt he will play in midfield that's the long term plan but not next season. Rogic was wanted by a lot of clubs down South, he looks good already with his range of passing, movement and vision he will definitely have his chance in midfield next season.

Why anyone would want to replace Lennon right now I'll never know.

Motivation domestically is a problem but it will remain so regardless of who's in charge.

Exactly. He's on the verge of a domestic double and a superb run in the Champions League. What else do fans want?

I'm the first to make noise about players not showing up post-title confirmation, but that's certainly no reason for Lennon to be replaced.

I think the people who wouldn't be bothered if Neil Lennon left Celtic are forgetting one thing. How long is the career of a football manager? 15-30 years. Neil Lennon is only in his 3rd full season as a football manager. He's still very much in the learning phase of his managerial career and he still has a lot of improvement and development left in him. I think it's exciting to think how good a manager he could become given what he's achieved already.

There's no way I want to see him leave the club. The man is a Celtic legend.

I can't believe anyone, let alone a Celtic fan, would even dream of suggesting we should get rid of Lennon. It's crazy.

I think it is time Lenny thought of moving on as he can't seem to motivate the players on the domestic front. 33 points dropped this season is shocking and if we lose the Scottish Cup again this forum will be in meltdown.

People keep talking about Lenny's European record, but under close examination it ain't that good. Two Europa Leagues where we got humped twice over. We were fortunate to beat Helsinborg to get to the Last 16 CL anyway, and we still got done over in that section. Under Strachan it was a common occurence for us to get to the Last 16 CL, with some stirring exploits, so what gives ?

But I don't think if Lenny does go in the summer, that we should go for another rookie like John Kennedy, that would be a disaster waiting to happen, and I wish posters would get off this kick it has to be another Ex Celtic player, no it don't, that premise has got us into trouble so many times in the past. All we need is a manager who is familiar with the SPL, knows how to get the best out of a team on a modest budget and is a good man manager. I am sure that won't be too hard to find.
