Quite a lot imo. Every big game comes along and Stokes doesn`t get a look in. Its absolutely baffling. What has Lassad done to deserve a place over Stokes? I have nothing against Lassad or anything but it has left me extremely dissapointed

Lassad came on for 18 minutes when we were 5 down, why are you making a massive issue out of something extremely insignificant?

Because Stokes was far more deserving of a place before Lassad. He is in a rich run of form and it would have been good to give the man his CL debut. A lot of this succes is owed to Stokes imo. What about all the other big games where he has been dropped for? He deserved his place in those sides too

I really like Lennon and I hope he stays with us. There is a part of me though that would have loved to see this campaign had a real tactician been in charge, I sometimes find Lennons line ups and stubs rather odd. The mans doing a great job though, fair play to him. One Neil Lennon!

In fairness, did stokes ever start an old firm game? I can't remember him playing in one never mind starting one.

This fact has always, always bothered me more than the Champions League.

I NEVER understood why he always, always played a bit part in Celtic's Old Firm match-ups.

... and I love the guy. Neil, too.

He has started two I think. The one where they beat us 3-1 at Parkhead in Lennys first season and then last season where Cha got sent off quite early and it was Stokes who made way for the replacement to come on

Got the first leg wrong big time but couldn't do much else about tonight's match. I'm sure he'll learn from his mistakes and go again next season providing he's allowed to bring in some quality in the Summer.

I must admit, I thought Lennon's interview was a sales pitch in order to gain support for Celtic leaving Scottish football. Neil Lennon is a very smart man, and on a number of occasions during the interview he made a concious effort to praise Sky and thank them for their 'support', I think he understands just how important, influential and powerful Sky are (or can be) within European football. It's clear they have voice within the corridors of power at UEFA and perhaps could instigate change. During the interview he also stated just how difficult it is to 'play the likes of St Mirren at the weekend and then play teams like Juventus midweek' (or something similar), I think he also suggested that the current situation is 'holding Celtic back'.

Perhaps I'm just looking too much into it, but I thought there was some very well-placed and telling comments and remarks in that interview.

Interesting perspective mate but I thought it was more about how the Sky pundits give us credit where its due compared to the Scottish press.

Could not agree more, but I would call it being a lick * * . Why salute shy sports when they have been so critical of us on many occasions , fact is we are losing or selling out the heart and soul of Celtic football club for the dollar

Deserving of 18 minutes in a nothing game?

He has masterminded a team that has no right being anywhere near the last 16 to it. We as fans do not fully appreciate what the financial gulf really is. Man City, with their endless wealth, were not capable of achieving what we have.

    It is truelly monumental.

He nearly broke Papac's leg within 5 minutes at Parkhead.

I agree to a degree as Hooper and Stokes, when on form together, are superb. However, the big games have normally called for a change in tactics and unfortunately Stokes has been the fall guy.

Another comment of interest made in his interview the other day when he said he would comment on the rangers situation when time was right. I dont think Celtic have made any secret of our desire to leave Scotland, also the nemmo decision the other day might of been the last straw. Interesting times ahead.

I don't know you. I don't like to judge either but what you have just said is absolutely abhorrent. Sell out * ? Are you at the wind up ? Neil Lennon was born in Northern Ireland and played for Northern Ireland. Anything but a sell out *. Abhorrent way to talk about our manager :38:
