At the full time whistle Neil Lennon was an absolute embarrassment today.

 

I love Lenny but his reaction at the end was poor IMO.

 

Very good points and totally agree

Lennon, since taking over at the end of March in 2010, had -

1) Taken us to the semi's of the Scottish Cup when he took over
2) Taken us to the final of the League Cup in 2010/2011
3) Won the Scottish Cup in 2010/2011
4) Only JUST lost out on winning the league title by a single point in 2010/2011
5) Guided the team to go top of the league from being 15 points behind within the space of 2 months
6) Some very decent perfomances in the Europa League (with a good few people expecting us to get trounced)
7) Taken us to yet another final in the League Cup for this year
8) Won the league at a canter
9) Taken us to another semi-final in the Scottish Cup

Two semi-final's in the Scottish Cup, one win in the Scottish Cup, two final's in the League Cup and one league Championship. All since taking over at the end of March 2010 and some people are saying he's got a team full of bottlers and they want Lennon to go?

Some people need a bit of a reality check I think.

 

What would sacking Lennon do, exactly? Sack the manager that has just won us the league for the first time in four years, led us on an unbeaten 26 game domestic run, got us to a cup final and was cheated out of another cup final... who would we get in to replace him?

I simply cannot envisage Jose Mourinho uprooting his family, booking a flight from Madrid to Glasgow, and coming over here to ensure we win the treble next season and get to the group stages of the CL. Sorry, but it doesn't seem likely.

 

all these people wanting Lennon to go... one question, Who would replace him? eh? He's built his own team of young players.

Yeah lets sack the manager and sell all the players and build a brand new team. Thats how you build on winning a championship alright.

 

Going down a whole new path there. There is tonnes of football managers about.

I remember people saying WHO IS COMING TO MANAGE US NOW! In stepped a person no one had heard of in years, Mr Wim Jansen.

The only thing this team is lacking at the moment, is experience in the management and experience in the team. There is no doubt there is class in every position.

 

We need to build for the future on a poor budget. The future is still I believe Lennon and the likes of Forrest, McGeough, Matthews, Ledley etc.

 

If Lennon was to go my replacement of choice would be Billic

If I was Lennon I`d have went up and shouted at the ref as well.

Can`t believe there`s people on here saying he should go.

 

If it was me i would've ended up hooking that ref, well done from Lenny from actually restraining himself. The Ref deserved everything he got from Lenny. How can you think otherwise?

 

So, you think employing another foreign manager who doesn't really give a * about Celtic and is only there for the payday is the way to build on winning the title this season and can get us into the CL group stages next season?

Wim Jansen got pretty lucky when he was here, dare I say it. The signing of one world class player (Ghod needs no introduction) essentially stopped 10 in a row all on its own. I don't think another gem will be unearthed for such a low fee for a long, long time. One in a million.

 

No need for lennon to do that at the end.

What would that achieve restart the game at 1 each he's not going to change a decision after the game. Embarrassed himself with his actions and no doubt will get another ban

 

All these people saying Lennons an embarrassment and wanting him sacked is a * joke..Lennon was perfectly within his rights to go nuts..Maybe we should get Mowbray back and we can take all these * decisions against us "on the chin and move on" eh?. Pfffft..Anyone wanting him out, give up your season ticket and give it to someone who'll support the manager! I bet you'll all be there when he's presented with the League trophy eh? * glory hunters
