A very poor performance but another welcome three points! was worth enduring that game to see Brooney do the \o/ again!

Poor performance today it has to be said. We had the ball all day in the first half and did next to nothing with it. No change at the start of the second half as indeed it was St Mirren who really got at us in that first 10 minutes or so of the second half. Credit to Forster in goal. Some big saves today and no question he was man of the match for us today. Credit to Lennon for his subs early in the second half when it was clear nothing had changed. Commons and Stokes both did well when they came on. All in all a poor performance but Forster stood up tall and gave the team a chance to win today and we took the chance well. Great lay off by Brown and a good hit from Forrest for the first and then nice alert play from Commons to spot the short corner was on and a sweet bending strike from Brown to seal a big 3 points.
There is a long way to go in this title race but being able to win on the road when not playing well like we did today is a very good sign for us I think.

 

Our defense was really poor today. They were lost at times + had too many errors when trying to move the ball forward. The only exception is Wanyama for me (besides obviously Forster). The big man have taken lots of balls from them, was rock-solid - no one could go around him, so calm when with the ball and his passing was nice. I know that Kayal got us accustomed to having a great, efficient defensive midfilder there, but Wanyama is really doing well there too!

my thoughts exactly, don't understand the decisions Lenny made starting Ki, Cha, and not playing izzy but thought the subs were perfect as both Ki and Sammy were playing poorly.

These 3 points today could be championship winning ones, The conditions after 10 mins i thought this going to be tough .
