As for the Lions question, McNeill was a Motherwell fan growing up.

Dixie's family were huns but he wasnt.

Rab Douglas is a Motherwell fan, I knew that even before we signed him.

Off the top of my head Jock Stein, Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain, Davie Provan, Murdo McLeod, Paul Lambert, Craig Burley, Simon Donnely, Craig Beattie.

Some of them are admittedly far from legends.

Of the current squad, our captain is the most well-known. I was told James Forrest is too, have nothing to back it up though.

Cesar was a tim, always was at school. Gemmell was a tim but went to Motherwell games as a lad.

What a strange and cool thread.

I had no idea a few of the players mentioned were supporters of other clubs.

Who does Scott Brown support? Rangers, really? Huh.

And ... I know this, but ... Jock Stein ... I've always thought that was really interesting.

I could see him ... during our 9 in a row days ... and European Cup Final day ... he wears his lucky Rangers underwear.

Jock Stein? He was a Protestant but never heard he was a Rangers fan?

Scott Brown wasn't a rangers fan. Was either Cowdenbeath or Dunfermline. It was the huns who started that rumour when they thought they were going to be signing him.

    No it wasn't.

He was a hun, confirmed by his best pal, Kevin Thomson.

Since when was Auld a hun? The guy's one of the biggest Celtic fans you'll ever meet, he was the one who started singing 'the Celtic song' in the tunnel in Lisbon!
I'd also dispute whether Lambert was a rangers fan, never seen any proof of this.

Auld being a hun is a new one to me as well.

Some getting their wires crossed with the terms hun and Protestant it would seem.
