Like everyone else I'd be disappointed if the rejection is true. I'm sure this scenario is something the club have considered and will attempt to rectify. Let's not forget we still have Zaluska who is not a bad keeper, but obviously we do need better or at least decent cover in that position.

I'm not one for turning on players who decide to move on for whatever reason and so if true then I wish Fraser all the best in his career. Only time will tell if he has done the right thing. Although I seriously doubt he will find another club as big as Celtic until maybe a few years down the line.

End of the day though no player is bigger than the club and we will move on.

 

Hearing that Forster is returning to NUFC. Apparently it was the financial demands of FF and his agent and we refused. Apparently it was his agent that was the problem - isn't it always!!!

 

Forster deal is still very much on.

Do we know if it was him or his agents fault yet, why its not happening. Surely cant be newcastle's as a 2 million deal was already agreed.

Why are you acting so surprised and butthurt?

Some are surprised by the news when it's been dragging on for weeks without any real indications that he wants to sign.

Others branding him a traitor and writing hateful posts? Get a grip, my *, the players are still only employees and the clubs their employers. It's not like Celtic saved his life by giving him a kidney transplant he desperately needed. Or giving him and his family asylum so he didn't have to leave the country and returt to the war-torn Somalia. Wait...that does sound kinda familiar...

Football is their job, and the players switch jobs just as people who work at a bank switch jobs. It's always nice seing players show loyalty to the clubs and the fans, but in the 21st century that's an exception, not a rule.

If he still signs for us, I will be happy. If not, good luck to him, he's been a good servant to the hoops in the past two years.

 

The longer this saga drags on, the less enthusiasm I have for seeing Forster back at Celtic. The fact that this is still up in the air raises some question marks for me about how keen Forster actually is to sign permanently for Celtic.

I would much rather have Craig Gordon anyway to be honest.

We had agreed the fee ages ago
