They should have brought him on for the last three minutes against Uruguay as they did with Ricky Lambert.

Disappointed he didn't at least get a 5 minute run out, hopefully he gets a few games in the qualifiers.

Forster wasn't at Lennoxtown today for the first day of pre-season, must mean he's off. :54:

Forster is well down the pecking order. Today was perhaps final confirmation that he might feel he needs to move back to England to change that.

Oh, so in the very short and limited training clips you have witnessed through your heavily biased eyes, you feel more qualified to appraise Forster's talents than professional football coaches who are working with him every day? Who's really the arrogant one here? And you think a football manager would damage his own hopes of success just to thwart the progress of a player from Scotland? There is no cure for this level of stupidity.

Tbh, a lot of the talk down south was that Foster only got a recall because of his association with Hodgson.

It was common knowledge that Foster decided to take a sebacle from England in 2011 under Capello and didn't come back until last year whilst Hodgson was in charge.

Seemingly the indication from John Ruddy and some others in the game that he shouldn't have got the chance to play again after basically turning his back on the team, and was down to a word in the ear from Roy Hodgson.

I'm disappointed though that big Frase, didn't get a run-out.

Fraser Forster is a better keeper than Ben Foster, I'm sure everyone accepts this.

So with that in mind and also Forster being a few years younger he should have been given that game against Costa Rica.

I think that England's performance and where/how they finished in the standings says conclusively that Hodgson is not the man for the job. With him gone perhaps some of the more capable and exciting talent will get a run out. I can't see Hart being a collector of many more caps unless maybe from the local coffee shop.

I think Englands performance and where/how they finished in the standings says conclusively that their players are terrible and that Hodgson is probably a good manager only cursed with a bad crop of players to choose from. I can see Hart being a collector of many international caps, not that I agree with it.

Basically mate, I completely disagree with everything you said, but I don't really care because it's England.

Fraser Forster is a better goalkeeper than Ben Foster. Do you seriously think otherwise? That's a * level of stupidity that has no cure.

Thing is, England have plenty quality players. Rooney, Sturridge, Barkley, Sterling, Gerrard, Lampard etc. Definitely better than teams that will qualify for the last 16 (eg Greece).

That's open to debate. You are almost certainly hugely under-rating Ben Foster, which is what a lot of Celtic fans do - going to the opposite extreme of the english media (no, he blatantly would not be 3rd choice for Scotland). But also, Foster has been playing at a much higher level aside from Forster's champions league appearances. I still think Forster is probably the better keeper but that's not what you said is it? You made some sort of ridiculous, unfounded comment about Hodgson being too arrogant to pick a player playing in the SPL, even going so far as to suggest Hodgson was in some way coerced into picking him for the squad in the first place. Ludicrous.
