SSN reporting Foster to start (absolute joke). On a positive note, Forster was the pick of the fans to start the game according the the poll they did for the team selection. So at least a majority of England fans see him as second choice already.

 

Agree entirely. You have Buffon, Iniesta, Valdez, etc raving about how good he is and at the highest level (CL) to leave him out is self harm.

If the England fans have voted for him in the poll, it gives a defining opinion of their thoughts on Ben Foster too.

Hopefully the Big Man gets the second half.

Not that I really give a toss who plays in goals for England, but why does picking someone other than Forster to play make Hodgson an "arrogant *"?

Because imo Forster is simply being shunned because he plays in Scotland, which is unfair and therefore makes Woy an arrogant *.

 

You theory on the matter can't dictate that the guy is an arrogant * - you have no proof that he is being excluded because of the league he plays in (though a few of us would tend to agree, it can't be the sole reason to call the guy an arrogant *, he has reasons for p[icking Foster as well mind).


That said, insisting on calling the guy "woy" because of his speech is being a *.

Ah, okay. Even so, I don't see why not picking Forster makes Hodgson an "arrogant *".

Obviously we feel that Forster deserves his shot, but I'm not entirely sure that having him play a part at this world cup would be a good thing. The fact that he's currently not associated with the poor performances of this current squad is a good thing in my book, and will maybe even see him given more of a shot in the lead up to the Euros.

The last thing we want is him playing and England getting wiped out by Costa Rica, as we all know that the media won't blame a defence mainly consisting of EPL defenders when there's a goalkeeper who plays his football in Scotland who can carry the can.

 

I dont think Roy Hodgson has shown any arrogance at all and in the whole England camp, and is one of the very few likable and honest guys in the entire England WC debate .
I want big Forster to play because hes the Celtic keeper, i have read what it would mean to him personally and i do think he deserves to be ahead of Ben Foster (from what ive seen) but i have no quibble either with Roy Hodgson and his integrity and humility.

Wishful thinking from the arrogant Woy, he'll at the most be brought on from 70 mins onwards and I doubt even that may happen which is poor from Hodgson but expected.

Don't think arrogance is something Hodgson can be accused of. One of the few involved in the England setup who comes across as likeable and humble.

 

Doubt he will get the second half, it's not a friendly so the subs will need to be used wisely, they won't want to go home with no points

 

Rumour has it he was forced to pick Forster for the WC by people around him at England, Gary Neville for one who seen him for us against Barca and also the coaches. Hodgson was still very close to picking Ruddy or even Butland believe it or not.

 

So hold on, you believe that the England manager was "forced" to pick a player for his squad by his assistants?
