    collapse in form?
How many do you blame him for in wednesday's 6-1

It took a lot of people a long time to rate him when he came,
i think some were hoping he would fail for various reasons.
i still think he is top class & will only get better with
    experience.

Forster is not an all round finished product, organising the defense, commanding his box and dealing with crosses he just doesn't do, everybody knows that. Great shot stopper but not a great goalkeeper.

If that's the only quote i wouldn't say he is gagging to get away,
don't see a lot wrong with the quote myself.

The club might force him out for the money ,even if he wants to stay.

Forster hasn't kept anywhere near enough clean sheets this season, and that's with a better defensive partnership in-front of him.

27 games - 10 clean sheets in all competitions.

14 games - 4 clean sheets in Scottish Premiership.

Genuinely not sure what those statistics prove,if anything.

In fact they prove nothing about his ability or lack of.

If you let in 18 goals, you can't be a top class keeper....he may not have been at fault for any of them, but he didn't save them either....he's a good shot stopper, especially last year but there's too many flaws....one that sticks in my mind was the home game v Ajax where he had his feet glued to the line when Kayal made the last ditch tackle

The goal he let in against Milan was shocking, a keeper should command his 6 yard box, so the blame all lies with him, can't blame the defenders when the ball is in his zone. Apart from that he is pretty consistent which is hard to find in keepers so he will do for now and will hopefully improve his confidence and command his area properly.

Heard Boruc has made a couple of howlers down south but would still take the legend Artur back in a second. Nostalgia wins it. We need a player back that hates the huns as much as us.

It proves that he's letting in far too many goals on a much more regular basis than he ever has previously at Celtic.

Most likely disinterested, therefore get rid of the guy, when players start to not perform due to having their 'heads elsewhere' it's time to look at selling before other teams clock it and his value decreases.

Aye, a want a Celtic player who hates the huns as much as I do. Just because Rangers died doesn't mean I've stopped hating huns.

And thanks for the offer but I'd rather no * you gently:97:

If the goalkeeper is the only player who's responsible for not letting the goals in then why don't we just play five attacking midfielders and five strikers?. Because we apparently don't need defenders.

It's 2013, the whole team is working in defence and if we're letting goals in it's because we have lost Wanyama and because otherwise our very good central defenders Ambrose and van Dijk are prone to make silly mistakes, especially Efe who in one game can look like Blackenbauer(TM) and the next game like a headless chicken. Also, Lennon has no idea what he's doing so I'd blame the poor European campaign mostly on him.

And don't forget that 6 of those goals came from a team that can easily score 4, 5, 6 or even 7 goals against their league oponnents and we've all seen the shambolic marking of the Milan players at Paradise in a game in which we conceded 3 goals. Not to mention those unlucky goals in Milan in September.

Let get him sold in January and bring back Shay Given. His contract must be up at Villa and I'm sure he like finish playing career at his boyhood club. Who ever let him go in first place. The best youth keeper we ever had and wasn't given a chance here.
Let Forster show world what average keeper he is. When he playing against world class striker week in week out.
Couldn't be bother if he went. For a big guy he never comes out and catches corners or free kicks. He hoping defender going clear it. When they don't , it easy goal for other team. After Barcelona showing i say his world cup spot is gone and few million off his price tag.

    Southampton do though!

I know he has been a good job at breaking up the play at Saints this season. before it gets to the Centre Halves.
Though I think Saints is the Artur Boruc show- now he is out with a broken hand-let's see how Saints get on! Holy Goalie!!!:50:

A Crystal Palace forum with 4 pages on Fraser Forster as he was linked with them in the Sun.

Some of the comments are pure comedy.

    http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=249378

"Very big and immobile. Seems a great shot stopped but so slow to get down due to his size."

"Must be out of our league surely? And a bit too expensive?"...."There is no money in Scotland. I was talking with an Aberdeen fan with inside information and he was saying how they lost a player to Walsall as the League One side were able to offer him a better salary."

"It'd be a loan. He wants to play in England and Celtic only have a pony league to compete for now."

"He's good against Barcelona, but struggles to keep clean sheets in the SPL. Considering the amount of clean sheets kept by Jules I'm not sure it's worth spending a large chunk of the budget on a Goalkeeper."

"I've only seen Forster play live once - for England against Chile. I thought he was really poor. Very slow off his line and hesitant. Maybe it was nerves, but I wasn't impressed."

"Celtic qualifying for the Champions League is so * easy, they absolutely wipe the floor of competition for the SPL trophy. If we were in the Scottish League we would have won it several times over and we'd be Celtic only real competitors. It is not a difficult league at all that is if you play for Celtic."

"Got a glowing report from Gianluigi Buffon before Celtic played Juventus in the Champions league. Juve won 0-3"

    Then one very intelligent poster..

"Why choose to ignore playing for England, which is on his CV also?

Some incredibly pendantic posts on this thread, we'll never sign Forster. If Celtic are supposedly on par with Championship sides, why would he join a side who have a pretty big chance of being exactly that next season?

Speroni will need replacing at some point in the near future but it's not going to be with someone who's young and has England credentials already."

This is the kind of * I have to contend with on a daily basis..

I've heard this for years 'the Scottish league is 'pony',pony means proper *,cockney slang..
'If we were up there we'd win it loads and be celtic's main rival' is another you always hear..

Deluded * * the lot of em..
Tinpot clubs like palace have a few hundred in a new singing section and are the next best thing in England because of it,shows how * there supports are down there that every week they show and cling on to them, the telly that is cream themselves over a support that actually sings..

Mentality of these people hasn't really changed in personal experience for 20 odd years and well beyond that..

I tend not to take any notice of English football fans anymore, they are lost in their own little bubble, the funny thing about that is they go on to slag Scottish football and a goalkeeper who plays in the SPFL, do they not realise where Speroni came from.
