I've been critical of him for a while, if he is gonna leave it needs to be soon before everybody starts to notice his feet are glued to his line.

Scott Fox (I think that's his name) the Partick Thistle keeper i'd be happy to give a go. Been watching him quite a lot this season and he looks really good.

Struggling to see why we released Fox now. Maybe his height? He doesn't look the tallest

Just read Scott Fox's dealings with Celtic led to him almost becoming an alcoholic and quitting football so I don't think he'll be wanting to come back then :56:

Im almost certain we let him go.

I honestly wouldn't be fussed if FF decided to go, to me he is going backwards like a few others in the celtic team.

I wouldn't be too bothered if we sold him and got a decent enough price and replacement.

He's a good keeper, but not a great keeper imo.

I've always thought there seemed to be a case of over exaggerating every "good" save he made, saves that you'd expect a good keeper to make, and an almost blind eye turned (from a section of fans) to the mistakes. Just my personal feeling.

I'd like a goalkeeper who is not only a good shot stopper, but also commands his area at crosses. 1 out of 2 does not make a great keeper imo.

I've saw some unbelievable saves from him as well, his double save against Barca earlier this season and the save against neymar same game. Don't think it's a coincendence last night they were passing around Forster before shooting.

I'll miss the big man if he goes, yes he's got his faults but overall i think he's been a very good signing for us.

I think that is down to coaching instructions tbh. He's been here long enough to have had it addressed by the staff. He must be getting told to hold.

This is where I think there is over exaggerating with him. I wouldn't say any of them saves were "unbelievable". Good saves, aye.

I think the kind of save that should be categorised as excellent were the likes of the save from McGinn, and one of the best I saw from him was the save from Jelavic in the League Cup Final.

His major problems are commanding his area and coming out to collect high balls.

For me, there is no better shot stopper in Britain. He's proven that against world class opposition before.

Definitely think the double aave against Barca was just that. Better than the Jelavic one, the Neymar one as well, he had no right to save that. Double save a few seasons ago against Di Natale.

Best I've saw was his save he touched onto the bar from Messi's half volley last season. That was one the commentators and ref didn't even realise he got a hand to it until after the game, it happened that quickly. I know where you are coming from but he has pulled off some absolute wonder saves.

I don't think anybody had ever denied he's capable of world class saves though. I'll be one of the first to say he is probably the best shot stopper in Britain, but his overall game stops him from being an excellent goalkeeper. All goalkeepers should be sweeper like, they should mop up everything the defense can't deal with and get off their line and they should command the box and organise the defense, Forster doesn't do this for whatever reason and unless he addresses that he'll never be anything more than an excellent shot stopper.

I'm not denying that, I just think saying his good saves have been exaggerated is harsh because some of the saves he's pulled off have been unreal.

At 25 he has a lot of time to learn as well, he's still a young keeper. Even though he's now experienced

See I never said that :icon_mrgreen:

I agreed they were good saves. Some people said they were "world class" or "unbelievable".

I'm not denying he has made great saves, some outstanding, but I think there is definitely a case of some of his "good" saves being exaggerated into "world class".
