Mehran Ebrahimi: Fraser Forster needs to move and play for a big club to have real competition with Joe Hart for England!
Mahyar Shami: Forster has to move England or abroad . He cant be England number 1 as he only plays six competitive games a season

    * like that * me off. If they actually had a valid opinion on Scottish football other than the standard "pub league" "x competitive games a year" then fine, I'd take it on board. But the arrogance of English fans never ceases to amaze me. * fanboy EPL "greatest league in the world" *.

I hope Forster gets a call-up, plays a few friendlys then the drop him for the Golden Child and he makes an uber mistake and the get * out the world cup.

I would move him on in Jan and get new keeper in and have half season to settle in.
Champion league qualifier start so early. We cant sell Forster in summer and have another Hooper situation on our hands. Not getting replacement asap

Surprised no-one has commented on Forster after the game. Made a few cracking saves as usual, I dread to think what will happen when he leaves.

Goes to show how much it's expected now.

He did make a couple of superb saves.

He didn't nearly make them, he did. Those two kick outs were horrible, he misjudged the flight of a couple of crosses and he needs to learn to command his 6 yard box at the very least...

However, saying that, once again he was an absolute brickwall.

Last night he had so many touches of the ball, probably more than any other match he's played for us.

Part of the offensive problem last night lay with him.

Every time he gets the ball, his thoughts are not playing from the back, it's punting the ball up to either Samaras, or up to a striker who is clearly * at heading the ball.

Starting to really annoy me about Forster - a few excellent, excellent saves made though, few schoolboy errors made also though.

    Still better than Joe Shart.

That's definitely a tactical thing mate.

I've seen it a few times where he'll always play to one of the centre backs.

Yes what I meant to say was he made a couple of mistakes that nearly cost us massively.

I agree, it was clear it wasn't working.

The corner where he got caught under it, had Izaguirre not been on the line, it would be a major talking point today, because that was heading in I think. Very good save from De Jong's header. But his kicking was a let down again also.

I can only assume that he is being told to try and find Samaras every time he has it at his feet. It's bad enough to watch that style of football, but when Samaras is jumping and getting smaller, and winning almost no flick ons, it's even worse. Definitely something we need to look at.
