    Was just talking to someone about Fraser Forster on another forum.

    I was saying Joe Hart is overrated and FF deserves a chance etc. He comes out with this.

    "That's because he's playing for a team in the Scottish League. He's playing for the most part at a English division three level at best. Outside of playing for an underdog side in the CL he's got nothing to give England. Better, more experience 'keepers have crumbled under the pressure of playing for England."

    :31::31::31::31::31::31:

    You know what I'm English myself but I * hate these *' attitudes :47:. In the next game I actually hope Joe Hart makes another blunder and we manage to qualify through the skin of our teeth. Forster deserves his shot man !

    Until he plays against the mighty Hull Tigers, Crystal Palace, Stoke etc then his games against Barcelona, Milan, Ajax, Benfica, Spartak, Atletico Madrid, Udinese, Rangers (RIP) and the high pressure qualifiers against Elfsborg, Karagandy and Helsingborg etc. then he'll never get his cap against San Marino....sad really

    Actually playing in the SPL proves Forsters' credentials. He has * all to do for 88 minutes in every game, but when called upon still pulls of top draw saves. Whereas Hart has top players around and against him, plus big stadiums to keep him focussed - and he still can't.

    Forster is better in his domestic league than Hart is in his.
    Forster is better in Europe than Hart is.

    I can't think of a single logical reason why Forster has not been given a cap yet.

    Good points. ( Especially the first one) that Hodgson can't appreciate these points is just ridiculous.

    I'm not picky.
    Hence my "the guy is spouting a lot of illogical gumpf" part.

    According to Hodgson's logic, Forster hasn't got the experience even though he's played against the likes of Juventus, Barcelona, dead Rankers, Udinese, Rennes, Spartak Moscow etc and has been constantly excellent for us in the league. But suddenly if he plays in the EPL from January and kept his form up, he'd suddenly have experience?

    The guy is just making excuses on why to keep Hart in goal and doesn't want to be proved wrong.

    Hodgson would probably still not pick Forster because according to him Hart's "never let me down". He'd probably pick John Ruddy or Ben Foster instead.

    Forster has done more than enough to earn a call-up and I honestly don't know what else he can be doing to earn his shot.

    Forster normally has a better game when there is more pressure added to the situation. All his best performances, have come in massive games, in the biggest club competition on the continent.

    Forster has never made as big a blunder as Hart last week in the Champions League.

    We don't need the cash as all our bills are paid and we are still loaded,i don't see Lennon letting him go unless he asked for a move that would change things.

    Hodgson: ‘Forster has a chance at World Cup spot’

    ENGLAND manager Roy Hodgson is set to give Celtic stopper Fraser Forster a chance in the side ahead of the World Cup.

    Speaking after England secured their qualification for Brazil, Hodgson said: “The goalkeeper front is looking much better than it did some while ago.

    “Especially with the emergence of Forster.

    “At some stage (Forster and second reserve John Ruddy) have got to have a chance to show us what they can do, at least for part of a game.” (Mail)

    "Fraser Forster at Celtic;

    All competition's - 160 matches, 80 clean sheets.
    European competition - 28 matches, 11 clean sheets."

    Great record, was Boruc's as good games to clean sheets wise?

    can you imagine an spl player being England number 1 lol

    they will be willing him to fail. that's all I worry about is the backlash he will get no matter how he plays " he will never be good enough" for them while he is here :38:

    That's probably why it hasn't happened already. They can't bring themselves to have a player in their national team that plays up here. Your right though they've have the spotlight firmly on him, and if it didn't go well it would all be down to playing in Scotland.

    He must get a start soon because Hart is taking the * now with his crazy mistakes. The jersey is Fraser's for the taking.
    The trouble is once he's got a couple of England caps under his belt he will be deemed good enough for an English premier league team and someone will take him off us. I would also rather England have Hart in goal at the world cup as it almost guarantees that they will lose some comedy goals.
