This! And the reason? He doesnt play in the english leagues. Its a sad unwritten rule the fa have seemingly created to keep their 'best' in the 'best' league in the world the lure of international football means forster will want to leave an go back to engerlawnd

He doesn't deserve to be in the England squad based on current form. Pure and simple.

Since coming back from injury he hasn't been anywhere near his best.

No i would say more down to the fact Roy worked with him at West Brom. So he was his number 1 so he knows he can trust him and will have all the faith in him .

Same was said when he wasnt making the squads, now he is making the squad we need to cry about something else?

When he makes the team will you be saying the only reason he isnt captain is because doesnt play in the english leagues?

I agree with this wholeheartedly but on current form Forster is a much poorer option for England.

The big man has really struggled to get his form back.

He's looked worlds apart from the keeper that played earlier in the season in Europe.

the vote would be much the same.

Everyone knows the big man is just struggling to find his form after his injury.

You keep voting no though...

When you're in a 5% minority in a situation like this and still convinced you're right it may be time to open your eyes and reevaluate.

Forster is a great goalkeeper. His form of recent hasn't been great though...

    He's a nice bloke too.

He's been wayyy of colour since he came back from injury.. The only big save I can remember him making was the one against st mirren. Haven't really felt as safe with him in goal as I sis in the 1st half of the season. Seems like a real confidence player.. Which means considering he's down on confidence right now, and he gets his england chance I'd fear for him a bit.

That neck injury he suffered last month has totally derailed any momentum he had left from his world class performances earlier in the season. He's looking more and more like a man short in the confidence department currently.

We're conceding cheap goals all over the place now. Another three at the weekend, albeit one being a deflection that even the likes of Buffon would have struggled to save.

Hope he picks it up again in the coming weeks and months.

Celtic's Head of sports science another source confirming how exemplary Fraser's work ethic is:
Fraser Forster has really impressed me - he does everything correctly. He lives at the training ground basically. He has worked hard at his nutritional strategies, he´s always in the gym with Bill, he does extra yoga sessions and his dedication, and Stephen Woods´ influence has really maximised his potential. I can remember him when I worked at Newcastle United when he was just a skinny tall Academy player!

Not sure how easy it is to view outside of the North East England but the local news just advertised that Forster has been interviewed for tomorrow nights "Late Kick off". Talking about why he left Newcastle to come to Celtic.

Celtic star Forster wants Newcastle return

FORMER Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster has admitted he wants to return to the Magpies – as he has ‘unfinished business’ at the club.

Forster signed for Celtic in the summer after a loan spell at the Scottish giants, having been frustrated in his bid to usurp Tim Krul to the No1 jersey at St James’s Park.

The 25-year-old spent his formative years with Newcastle, coming through the ranks before leaving in a £2.5m deal.

But he admits it was a huge wrench to leave his boyhood club, and would love to return one day.

“I’d like to go back to Newcastle at some point, if the opportunity arises,” said Forster, who was speaking to BBC’s Late Kick-Off. “I’m a Newcastle fan and I’ve got unfinished business there.

“It was a wrench to leave, it’s my hometown club. But it wasn’t meant to be.

“I enjoyed my time out on loan and after enjoying playing week in week out it was important I carried on playing. I wanted to be No1 and it was clear that wasn’t going to happen at Newcastle.

“Everyone wants to be playing in the Premier League. It’s the place to be.

“At the minute I’m very happy at Celtic and playing Champions League Football, but long-term it would be nice to play in the Premier League.”

Forster’s form in both the Scottish Premier League and Champions League has seen him called into the England squad by Roy Hodgson.

And he now has one eye on the World Cup in Brazil next year.

“It’s the World Cup next year and I’ll be giving it my all to try to get in the squad,” he added.

“It’s important to be playing at the highest level I can. Celtic is a fantastic club and European football is the pinnacle.

“Now it’s all about getting as much experience as possible and getting in the England squad.”

I hope Fraser uses this ambition to kick on and get back to his top form, if he keeps playing well then Hodgson physically won't be able to ignore him much longer.
