    This is actually kinda what I was wondering.

    Is he just clueless when it comes to keepers? Or did he take the hump when big Fraz was not content to play third fiddle at a mid-table EPL club - and cut off his nose to spite his face?

    * Pardew.

    Bet he would still say now that Krul is a better option than Forster.

    He is clueless full stop, Newcastle's scouts have masked that for too long but the tide is starting to turn.

    Anyway, Forster's reputation continues to grow. He was a rock, again.

    Yea Alan Carr's awl boy should be getting all the credit for Newcastles short lived success, not Pardew the hypocritical dunce.

    Had doubts when he first joined but he's put them to bed, fantastic signing.

    He will be a candidate for goalkeeper of the tournament if we get into the last 16 and his value will rocket!

    A couple of absolutely exceptional saves already - one there at about 48 mins in from a free kick.

    Excellent.

    Playing very well once again tonight. The second free kick was the best save so far imo, as the first one (the double save in the first half) was straight at him both times, the reactions to do so were outstanding though.

    Most importantly (imo anyway) is his growing confidence - eventually - in coming out and collecting. When he learns to be a bit more aggressive in doing so he'll be one scary * :smiley-laughing002:

    Absolutely mate - this is what I want to see him do more :50:

    I've been touching upon that for a while now - once he develops in that area - then I think he will move on to another stratosphere in terms of his goalkeeping qualities.

    I agree - his sheer size should intimidate most people, but an aggressive streak in collecting crosses would do it against the best target men imo.

    That's what annoyed me most about him back when he was the old Forster (for want of a better way of putting it :smiley-laughing002:). He had a tendency to panic and/or * himself a bit and it was so infuriating when he's as big as he is.

    What's got him to this level now is his work ethic. That and growing confidence; but his work ethic is clearly unreal. Between himself and the goalkeeping coaches I can't praise them enough for the improvement he continues to make consistently :50:
