I agree. What a load of messing about by Celtic over such an important position. I was happy enough for Zaluska to start this season then FF was brought back and put straight into the team. Granted, he had a good season after a few shaky games but all this dithering over whether to sign shouldn't be tolerated by Celtic. Forster's not that amazing but they should sign him or sign someone else-quickly. Loan deals are a waste of time at this stage, it just encourages Forster to think he has better options than Celtc when he doesn't.

    He doesn't?

I don't know what Forster's other options are. Do you?

I've never been the biggest Forster fan (I wanted Westwood), but he's well within his rights to shop his name around a wee bit.

I will agree it needs to end ... SOON.

You might be right ... and if you are ... that REALLY makes me hate (not that I do, I'm just sayin') him, or any other player without a brain of their own, and how the agents/money have ruined sports in so many ways.

I know it's the job of an agent to shop around and find the best deal possible, but ... c'mon, it's not always about money. We all know that.

If Forster wants to play here, that should be matter, too.

Are most players that blind and retarded they can't think and bargain for themselves?

What i meant was, it seems unlikely that Forster will do any better than Celtic. Personally i don't think he will make the England team but i suppose anything is possible.

As for Westwood, i wouldn't say no to him, if available. Solid again for Ireland tonight after a great first half by Given.

My feeling is that he isn't 100% committed to coming here. Time to make a move for someone who would be methinks.

You have always been a big crotic of Forster, I just don't get it.

Personally he has a massive chance to better what he has done at Celtic, he's proven to improve year on year... Champions League next year. Would like to see how he can tackle that.

Yes, i have been critical of Forster, I think he is decent at best. He has definitely improved this season but i just think at this stage of his career, he should be jumping at the chance to become Celtic's permanent number 1. I know about the clean sheet records etc but honestly, anybody who knows anything about goalkeeping would concede(!) that there is a lot more to being a complete goalkeeper than that.

In my opinion, he still needs to be more commanding and has to become more vocal with his defence. Another couple of seasons in the SPL would do him no harm at all, we'll see how he gets on after that. I know he qualifies for England but i think if he was honest, he would admit that he is well down the pecking order there.

I don't want to see a repeat of last summer where the goalkeeping situation is still unresolved at the eleventh hour.

Nobody is proclaiming him Buffon. At the same time though he is a very steady goalkeeper, who has pulled off some spectacular saves for us while having the biggest quality a Celtic keeper needs - concentration.

He communicates very well with his defence, I don't know where you get that view from. Himself and Charlie Mulgrew seem to have a particularly good relationship with each other.

I want Forster to sign badly, wish we splashed the £2 million back in January just to avoid any English team getting to him when he went back to Newcastle.

I was a huge critic of the big guy but he's shut me up big time, now I'm one of his biggest fans.

I don't see where you get this view from - quite literally one of the quietest goalkeepers I have ever been stood behind.

FRASER FORSTER is set to commit his long-term future to Celtic today.

The Hoops goalkeeper is expected to end weeks of uncertainty by finally signing a permanent deal with the Parkhead club.
Celtic have already agreed a fee of around £2million with Newcastle United for Forster — who spent two seasons on loan in Glasgow.
And agent Mark Curtis told SunSport he hopes to thrash out personal terms within the next 24 hours.
He said: “I will call Peter Lawwell on Thursday and arrange a time to meet and try to finish things off — we need to. Fraser’s been away but I spoke to him and know where we need to be. I will now arrange to meet Peter.”
This will be a huge boost for boss Neil Lennon — who made Forster his main priority this summer.
The 24-year-old was linked with QPR earlier this week, while West Ham were also understood to be tracking him.
But Curtis said: “Other clubs are not in his mind. Does he want to stay at Celtic? Yes.”
Lennon had a dig at agent Curtis in May and accused him of messing Celtic about over Forster’s negotiations.
But he is now on the verge of getting his man as Celtic step up plans for a shot at the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, the Hoops have confirmed participation in another glamour pre-season friendly.
The Scottish champions travel to The Netherlands on Saturday July 21, to face Dutch giants Ajax.
Managed by ex-Rangers star Frank De Boer, the Amsterdam club are Holland’s most successful side, and are holders of the Eredivise title.
They have lifted the European Cup four times, making them one of the most successful football clubs on the continent.

He isn't a keeper to go bonkers at his defence but he's always directing and having a word with them. Especially with Chico, who is the organiser in our defence. Think there's more than one way to communicate with defenders, although I must say I prefer the Artur going absolute skitso and sticking a rocket up somebodies * preferable.
