    Big Fraser has always been a talent - the way I saw it he was mainly lacking confidence.

    I feel that fate has kind of stepped in to help him. These two crazy goal-line scoops that he has got away with, in important games, are the sort of thing that can help a keeper develop that kinda magical air of invincibility - the thing that guys like Boruc or Goram seem to have in the mix somewhere.

    They are also things that hopefully will link this in his mind with the club, and bed him in here, where he is wanted and appreciated. * Newcastle, he is a Celt now, and he is number one as far as we are concerned. The Mags will regret their error.

    Don't think you need to worry mate because WE get first choice at buying him for £2m at the end of the loan deal which will be at the end of the season so no one else will get him. Is part of the contract when we loaned him in :50:

    Only way another club would get Forster is if Lennon took a stupid pill and didn't want to sign him but I really can't see that happening :icon_mrgreen:

    It's not as clear cut as you think. FF has been linked with Spurs and could easily decide that he would prefer a shot at the EPL.

    There is every chance he could be playing for his beloved Newcastle next season if Krul leaves. I'm sure that would really appeal to Fraser. More so than a 3rd crack at the SPL.

    His club have to accept, he doesn't.

    He has said that he doesnt see his future at Newcastle because when he went back after the 1st loan spell, he felt that he didnt belong there and the changes Mike Ashley had made to the staff further alienated him.

    Forster has stated his intent to sign a contract with Celtic but wants to do the contract talks at the end of the season when his hand is strongest. Celtic stated a couple of days after this interview that they wanted to start contract talks after the january window!

    imo, he is a must buy. yes newcastle have to accept a £2m offer and FF doesnt have to come back. but he will be an established 1st choice GK with a potential treble under his belt at the age of what, 23/24? with more trophies and european football hopefully every season. or he could go and fight for a starting spot, where he will have to prove himself all over again, at some mid/upper mid table side that wont win a thing.

    I liked him since his first game but preferred "No" when I used the poll, because we needed some really good keeper. But now we could buy him and I would be happy with that.

    He has been improving in every game. And made some very important saves using his long, lanky limbs. That double save a few games back, or a few similar ones where he dived down and blocked the ball with his body. And the crown: 2 saves on the goal-line. Turned goals into maybes which were not given.

    True but I don't think there's mainly much thinking to be done about it. Pretty much guaranteed first team football with us or MAYBE a chance at playing first team football back down in the EPL?

    Even if he went to Spurs then he'd probably be behind the likes of Friedel and Gomes so it would be Newcastle all over again.

    Plus we know what English clubs are like. Managers say things like "x player still has a future and is very much in my plans" and the next thing you know is that they are offski. Just like Roman Pavlyuchenko - Redknapp says he's still a big part of the team yet week in and week out he wasn't playing him and then sold him to Lokomotiv Moscow.

    I think Forster will be here on a permanent deal come the summer :50:
