Had this happen to me for the first time last night. Luckily I've read up on it a bit and didn't panic. I was facing my bedroom door and tried lifting my head. Couldn't move. I immediately knew what it was and started trying to get out of it. I wasn't able to move myself back, but to my surprise, I was able to move myself forward, or so I thought. I moved myself forward and fell out of the bed only to "wake up" back where I started. Someone or something opened my door and started screaming at me. They were just out of view behind the door. I tried to scream back at them, I couldn't make a sound. I continued trying to get out. I even got out of the bed and struggled to open the door only to find myself in a strange place on the other side of the door. Then I would wake up right were I started. This continued for what seemed like hours. Constantly trying to get out of it and finding myself right back where I started.

had it again on Monday. Nothing majorly scary but was "sleeping" and the tv was on...Family guy or American Dad I had on when I fell asleep. Woke up and it was still on as it's on till like 4am, but when I woke up I couldn't move but I seen something standing in the corner coming towards me...I could even hear myself trying to shout "wake up...wake up" which I eventually did.

    Happens quite regularly tbh.

Does anyone else think sleep paralysis is linked to a lack of sleep? Had it years ago when I wasn't getting enough sleep and now my flatmate wakes me up every morning when he comes in from his nightshift. Lo and behold it's back.

Was having a dream last night that a wee spider (I'm not even scared of spiders) was on my arm, I flicked it off but it wouldn't budge. The more I tried to get rid the bigger and hairier it got, until there was a * huge spider franticlly grasping my whole arm. I then woke up and thought I could feel it pinning my legs down. Properly scary.

That *'s getting a spider thrown in his bed.

I used to get it all of the time as a kid and shat myself every time until I eventually knew what was happening and then it just became an easy way into a lucid dream.

Haven't had one in ages (or a lucid dream for that matter).

I used to remember my dreams all the time, and would write them down.

Now I can't remember * all when I sleep, except the dark emptiness.
