My two big toe nails came off last week after months of them hanging off. I eventually just pulled the last bits off them after a game because they were too sore and now i feel great for it and ive still been going training and played 2 matches. (gaelic football)

Mine comes off all the time, shouldnt affect you in the slightest, man up and keep on with it FFS :icon_mrgreen:

Incidentally, had a dynamite workout this morning, popped at least 2.5KG on most lifts, and even 5KG on others, pushed everything up and managed my reps, had to dig deep on my squats though got them out

Was magic, 1 RM should be increasing now, big push with 2 weeks to go, here's hoping :D

YUP!, same as what I've had to do numerous times, just feels funny, absolutely won't cause you to walk funny or not wear trainers (in rgds Tizinator).

In fact, I'm sure I've posted on this before

In the middle of a bizarre injury at the moment.

Basically I just keep getting cramp. It's not like cramp you get when your sitting the wrong way on the couch.

It continues for periods as long as 30 minutes at a time and the pain is pretty excruciating. It's to do with the way my bone and muscles have grown together.

The only real way to cure it is rest. Unfortunately I have a pretty active lifestyle. It's vital that I keep my fitness up.

Id be interested to know if anyone has something similar?

Worth mentioning I have had virtually every injury known to man so if your looking for a good exercise to keep fitness I can try and help :50:

    Where is it mate?

Only thing I can kinda relate to is my muscle grew too fast for my shin bone so got the old egg in the knee cap thing, wasn't fluid, just the muscle growing faster than the bone.

Still can't sit in the back seat of a car without cramping up.

Was all to do with growing at that age, think I was about 15 or so. :S

Seldom mate, only thing I do after drinking is play football, depends on what your hangovers are like I suppose, if they are murder try an outdoor run or something or swim/sauna.

Incidently, way happy with my dips @ +60KG :D, last week of my programme and smashing through the weights :D

Yeh, a think i'll leave it. Mind the last time i went with a hangover it was legs day, squatted over a 100kg and nearly fainted once i put the bar on the rack and stood up. That's why i was asking really. And it was meant to be legs tomorrow i'll just go sataruday.

60kg on dips that's impressive mate, well done:50:

Not a good idea as your blood pressure will be alot higher than normal. Best to leave it!

I've got my squats up to 90kg now, felt quite dizzy after my 3rd set like! haha!

you shouldnt hit the gym with a hangover. alcohol lowers your testosterone levels for up to a week so youre not going to be reaping the benefits anyway. plus youre dehydrated so performance will be greatly reduced so there really isnt much point with a hangover.

Thanks mate, I'm well chuffed :D

Also good, sensible choice, especially with it being leg day, * that, spew city man.

Got legs tomorrow, gonna hit them hard though they are a wee bit tired from this weeks cardio because I've changed it up, wee 5 min warm up at 10km/h then add a % to incline every minute, although the speed stays at 10 km/h and is pretty much just a jog, those inclines get tough pretty quick so my legs are tiring from it, but will keep at it and hopefully a nice wee shocker to the system :D

At 8.3 incline atm which is hit on 21 minutes, I carry on until 30 minutes increasing the speed, but drop the incline to 1.3, it's been good so far, finish on the versa for 10 minutes at anywhere between 65-75 ft/min, good wee cardio filler so it is.

Also last day of my current programme tomorrow so attempting 1RM's next week then I need to figure out what to do next :(

Might run a few cycles of madcow, bit reckon that will pop on a wee bit of belly again after me trimming a bit off :S

I done a Vo2 max test last year (at uni for an honours project) and I ended up running up a ridiculously steep hill until I reached exhaustion, on 4 seperate occasions. It is EFFING-BRUTAL!!

Quality test mate, I've never been able to train to that type of depth, but would * love to.

It's insane aint it, I used to do hill sprints up this path near my house, it must be about 200 hundred yards, but I swear it's some incline man, there's 3 wee stairs at the top and you cannot even get up those once your burst, few times I've had to lie there for a while, knowing that, as it's a wee lane, people have probably * there, but when yer burst, YER BURST!!

    Hahaha

Anyhoo, off for legs and shoulders day, gonna be brutal, good to see the thread kicked back into life :D

I'm gonna have to read through this thread to see if I can get any tips. I love exercising, but going running bores me, and I can't motivate myself for it when the weather is pish.
