    Zivkovic rumoured to arrive on Sunday. If that happens to be true, we'll mantain the same quality in the wings, despite losing Nico Gaitan. Salvio, Franco Cervi, André Carrillo and Zivkovic, plus Gonçalo Guedes and Pizzi, who usually play in the right wing.

    We tried to sign Marko Pjaca as well (future world beater, no doubt about it) but apparently Dinamo Zagreb rejected an offer around 15M€. Pjaca also said he doesn't wish to play in the portuguese league.

    Would it not be a thorny issue for Benfica fans to be seeing a Sporting player in their colours? Aren't you both close rivals?

    It's the other way around. Using your words, it's a thorny issue for Sporting fans to be seeing a former Sporting player in our colours. The same way it wasn't easy for Benfica fans to see Maxi in Porto and Jorge Jesus in Sporting. Fortunately, everything worked out for us.

    Benfica fans are thrilled to have the most talented player Sporting on a free (which is never free, but still). It was an awfully managed case by Sporting president, who had the chance to sell him to Leicester for 12M€ and chose to make fun of Leicester and reject the offer.

    The subtitles are quite amateurish, but it gives you the idea. Bruno de Carvalho, Sporting president: "Carrillo isn't supposed to be good? If he's good, why only Leicester wants him? Leicester, that world football giant... Leicester, which won now 25 Champions League..."

    Final outcome:
    - Carrillo left on a free to the main rival, instead of those 12M€ offered by Leicester;
    - Leicester won the Premier League, Sporting only won the portuguese supercup (Benfica won the league & league cup, Braga won the portuguese cup);
    - Sporting and Leicester still have the same number of Champions League: 0;

    This was a delicious move.

    I like him. He's not spectacular but he was Chelsea's POTY two years in a row then Mourinho got rid of him because he's a *. Wasn't always played in his preferred position at United but he did hit double figures in goals the last two seasons.

    Easily good enough for the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs.
