It all comes down to proving yourself in the EPL. If Forster gets a move there and has a stellar season he'll be talked about in that kind of price range as well.

 

Cesc Fabregas has signed for Chelsa on a 5 year deal. According to Sky Sports the fee is £30 million.

According to Fabregas, Arsenal turned down the chance to re-sign him.

 

Ramires will be off to Madrid me thinks.

I think Ramires is too poor on the ball for the top level.

Great signing for Chelsea though, probably only 1 more player away from id say favourites to win the League, another defensive midfielder, could even get Gareth Barry as cover.

Real. Been mentioned today and earlier on in the week just rumours but could see it happening, Chelsea will need to offload a couple now in that position, can't see the likes of him, Schurrle and Salah for example settling for regular places on the bench throughout next season. Then again, they might!

He's a good player imo, works hard going forward and defensively, agreed that he's not the very best on the ball but he chips in with important goals and gets himself into good positions in the final third. Bit like Lampard in that way.

 

Gutted Cesc has went to Chelsea.

 

I would say he was the best player in England before he moved to Barca too, he'll probably rip teams apart again. He was a master at creating goals, especially ones where he dinked the ball over defences to Van Persie or that, will be the same with Costa I imagine. Probably the best signing of the Summer in England. Suprised Man U never went for him especially considering its been years since they last had a quality centre-mid was probably Hargreaves who was defensive and only played like 1 season.

 

Final piece of the puzzle for Chelsea in my opinion. They have to be favourites to win the EPL in the coming season with some of the names they're bringing in.

 

Fabregas just wasn't tactically disciplined enough to play for Barcelona. Technically, very good - not the best but good enough - as are most of the La Masia graduates, but he just kept wondering from his position and slowing the game down.

Plus, I don't think the Barcelona fans ever really took to him, despite him being one of their own. He always seemed lazy and negative on the pitch, attitude wise, taking into consideration that he is quite a slow player.

Can't imagine the Arsenal fans are too happy about this, but then again, I don't think they needed him. Still must be a tough one to take, what with all that love he proclaimed to have for them.

 

Can't see why Real would want Ramires, he wouldn't get a game there imo.

 

Absolutely amazed United didn't go for Fabregas. I hate that another fine player has joined that scum, as well.

Isn't Fabregas a similar player to Mata though? Who obviously wasn't to Mourinhos liking. I think he's a fine player but I'm not sure how he would fit in to their team. If they get rid of Ramires though it'd be a good week of business for them because I think he's really overrated and a petulant little *.

 

I think Fabregas will play in the middle with Matic

Oscar in the hole and usually Willian and Hazard on the wings

 

On paper Chelsea have an unreal team for next season

 

Spending wise, Chelsea have kind of embarrassed Spurs. They've spent about £40m less than Spurs last year and they already look world class.

 

He'll be getting all sorts of money to be the 2nd choice right back.
