    Awk, thats why then.

How are these things set? I mean to be fair before this season Costa wasn't really that big of a deal, I think he took many by surprise. It just seems a bit low though, in comparison to the clauses that Barca and Madrid fire onto their players.

Half and half, mate. Dad's from Vallecas, mum's from Priesthill. Born in Scotland, though. Get Rayo from my dad's side and Celtic from my mum's.

Atletico were trying to negotiate a years extension earlier in the season just to increase the buy out clause to £41mill.

Apparantly Fabregas has passed a medical at Chelsea. They are going to have some team next season if he does join them. Can't understand why barca would sell him though

He never really cemented a starting spot. No fee agreed but expected to be in the £30mill range.

Fabregas to Chelski? * *. They are gonna have to be strong favourites for the league and CL if they buy another top class pair of full backs.

Not to mention Courtois and Kurt Zouma will be there next season, and also possibly Lukaku if they keep him.

They'll have some team. Could maybe do with signing a defender still. Hazard won't be going anywhere.

What a team they will have and I bet Jose will still find a way to sap the life out of them. :smiley-laughing002:

True enough I suppose, but he's still a quality player, and with xavi on his last legs he would have had more of a chance to cement his place in the midfield. If he does go to Chelsea then they'll have one of the best squads in Europe and will have to be one of the favourites for the champions league.

It seems Luis Enrique doesn't rate him. He has good statistics at Barca but a lot of his performances were underwhelming.

Barca have been linked with Koke and Gundogan.

Rakitic signing for Barca, seems to be near enough completed. 15-20 million euros.

    Great player.

So who is that they will have next season: Ter Stegan; Rakitic; Delefeou, anyone else?

    What else is needed?

Seemingly they are interested in Jeremy Mathieu:smiley-laughing002:

They need another centre half, probably a striker as well. Particularly if Alexis leaves.

Alexis is going nowhere apparently. I think think they'll sign Koke

They're signing Claudio Bravo, the Chile goalkeeper as well. With Delefeou coming back I'm not sure they need another forward. They certainly need a centre half though, someone like Thiago Silva would just be sensational, don't know how realistic it would be though.

Cost 50M to get Silva, Barca will need to sell before they can go and buy a top class CB, with the money they get for Fabregas they will need to replace him.

I reckon Rakitic is the replacement mate, in many ways a more exciting player actually. But they'll make about a 10mil profit on him, along with wages saved from players leaving, perhaps sell on a few other surplus squad members and they could potentially afford him. This is all hypothetical of course, someone like Mats Hummels is more likely; more affordable and younger.
