I like that kid Salah. Was always so exciting whenever I saw him play for Basel. Fits right in with the types of players Liverpool are going for, too.

Alex Song would be a brilliant signing by United in my opinion, Moyes is daft not going for it. With Rooney/Mata/Kagawa dragging defenders all over the place, there will be a lot of space to play some of the unreal passes he used to make at Arsenal to RVP himself. The man can pass.

Exciting times, seen rumours of Vidal possibly signing, would love to see that happen. Or maybe Moyes is thinking of going back in for Herrera. Watched a lot of him this season he'd be an excellent buy.

Vidal pipe dream but talks have already taken place with Juve with view to a summer deal but no chance them selling him and Pogba in same season.

Yohan Cabaye and left back now would be fantastic.

According to L’Equipe, Philippe Mexès is close to signing for Trabzonspor (7th in Turkish Süper Lig)

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are readying themselves to reject a €70m bid from #PSG for Paul Pogba.

According to France Football, Zlatan & T. Silva are against #PSG signing Cabaye because they don’t see him as a necessary signing.

Laurent Blanc: “It (what Zlatan & T.Silva reportedly said) doesn’t chance my opinion on the player. I think he’s a good player.

Blanc: “It doesn’t bother me. A president can ask his players what they think of another one. A president did it when I was a player.

Wenger says Arsenal are "unlikely" to do any business in the January transfer window. "At the moment, we are not close to signing anybody.

They money Guangzhou have chosen to spend on Diamanti is huge: Up to €10m in transfer fees and then a 4 year contract worth around €20m.

Wenger says Vermaelen won't be leaving this month.

Sportmediaset reports that Tottenham have made €10m offer for Guarin

Former Manchester City midfielder AbdiIsalam Ibrahim has flown to Greece to hold talks and undergo a medical at Olympiakos.

Essien being linked with moves to both Milan clubs.

Bayern Munich's Rummenigge said they're facing some difficulties to renew Toni Kroos.

esús Joaquín Fernández Sáez de la Torre, or Suso as he's better known, arrived at Liverpool with a big fanfare after turning down the opportunity to sign for Real Madrid in favour of a Merseyside move. It was former manager Rafael Benitez who convinced the youngster but things haven't panned out quite as smoothly as everyone hoped they might.

Suso struggled to get game time for Liverpool and is currently on loan in Spain with Almeria. Liverpool still have high hopes for the 20 year old midfielder and tried to get him to commit to a new contract recently. Suso and his agent travelled to Liverpool during the Christmas break to see what the club had to say but the player subsequently decided to leave all talk on an extension until the summer.

Borussia Dortmund tried to sign Suso last summer according to Marca and the Spanish newspaper claim that other big clubs are interested now too, and Suso may not be so likely to turn them down this time. His contract with Liverpool ends in June 2015 which means his value will start dropping in the summer, it's understandable why they tried to get an extension.

Marca say that Suso believes he's ready to make the step, either with Liverpool or another club. The newspaper say he's interesting clubs in England, Spain, and Germany.

Defour's agent says Tottenham aren't in for him, player very keen for move to England but only Fulham have approached so far.

Chelsea will continue to pay half of Essien's salary once his loan move to AC Milan is completed. If it's permanent, they'll pay a lump sum.

Queens Park Rangers had a delegation at the Amsterdam Arena last night as they look to sign striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson (De Telegraaf)

Chelsea are absolutely obsessed with attacking midfielders/wingers... Willian, Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard they just had Mata and De Bruyne, have Piazon, Moses and Marin out on loan. Now signing Salah.

    They should sign Alex Song.

    Why? They just signed Matic.

Willian, Schurrle, Oscar and Hazard isn't enough bodies to fill 3 positions and have sufficient cover. Ideally you'd want atleast 5/6. So signing Salah because Mata is moving on, is a good piece of business.
