This would kill Man Utd link guess agent trying to push for better deal from Arsenal - Mark Ogden ‏@MOgdenTelegraph 5m
Man Utd and Man City both offered, and rejected, the chance to sign Mesut Ozil a month ago, so don't expect a U-turn today.
    Daniel Taylor ‏@DTguardian 6m
Just to put this one to bed, Man Utd are definitely not taking on Arsenal for Mesut Ozil

We need centre mids more than we need Ozil and Kagawa agent just confirmed he is staying club do not want to sell or loan him out and nor does he want to leave any time soon . He said on German tv then that the player is still not fully fit . He also put to the bed the psg link says that kagawa flew into Paris for a connecting flight to join the International set up nothing more.

Should be after ozil aswell if hes available, herrera and feillani will improve the team no doubt but they wont put utd up there with the elite teams.... which is where utd should be striving to be.

Coentrao staying would knock on to Granada LB Siqueira - who is in limbo waiting on Madrid. He could now be Baines replacement at Everton.

Also in limbo is Antonio Adan. 9 mths ago was Mourinho's 1st choice, now 4th in line at Madrid. He has to take big pay cut to move anywhere.

Atletico trying to hawk Adrian Lopez off as he’s out of first team picture. Jorge Mendes is his agent, so Monaco being mentioned.

If Adrian leaves, Atletico could sign a number 10, probably on loan. Giovinco mentioned in AS today, Diego & Gourcuff look long shots.

Leicester have made a bid to sign Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, with Martyn Waghorn part of the deal.

Wolves turn down Nottingham Forest Bakary Sako bid

Ian Ayre: Sakho is 'an important marquee signing for us

WHUFC believe they have missed out on signing Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella on loan. Now set for WBA.

Brighton have rejected a double bid from Crystal Palace for Liam Bridcutt and Leonardo Ulloa, according to reports. Holloway having a go.

Sky Sports understands that striker Kei Kamara has arrived in England ahead of a possible move. Boro are interested in him, so are crystal palace was on loan last season at Norwich.

Le Progrès have confirmed that Guilavogui has signed a 5 yr contract with Atletico Madrid for €12m. #AFC were also interested in the player.

expect Peter Odemwingie to be on his way to Cardiff City at some point today

Everton Midfielder Francisco Junior has joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal.

Forest need to increase bid for Sako
Neil Moxley has details of the morning's transfer business at Wolves:
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has been down to Compton today to speak to head coach Kenny Jackett. As yet there has been no further communication from Nottingham Forest over and above the £2.5m offer for Bacary Sako.
Wolves aren't that keen to loan the player out, either. It looks like being a sale - or not - but at present Forest will need to up their bid.

Arsenal agree £3m pay-off to get rid of Bendtner
Neil Ashton on developments in the Bendtner transfer:
Arsenal have agreed to a stunning £3m pay-off to get Niklas Bendtner out. Bendtner earns £55,000 a week at Arsenal and will not leave without the agreement in place.
He has held talks with Palace, who will pay him £25,000 a week if he signs for them.

Cherries granted work permit for Rantie
Bournemouth have been granted a work permit for £2.5million South African international striker Tokelo Rantie from Malmo but Fulham have had their application rejected for Colombian under-20s forward Jhon Cordoba who plays for Mexican club Chiapas.
There will be more work permit business conducted this morning. Everton and Brentford made applications last week.

    Villa working towards Kozak signing
Neil Moxley reports on transfer dealing at Aston Villa:
Aston Villa are working on the deal to sign Libor Kozak from Lazio as we speak.
However, contrary to rumour it is NOT going to be a loan deal. There is a reason for this. Villa owner Randy Lerner is not a big fan of moves into the club on a temporary basis, he would rather his players be contracted to Villa permanently.

    McCarthy stays in England
Colin Young reports that Everton target James McCarthy has not boarded the plane to Dublin to join up with the rest of the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of the weekend's international fixtures.
It suggests that he is required somewhere for transfer negotiations. The FAI have granted permission for him to fly tomorrow.

    Cardiff leading chase for Odemwingie
Lots of updates on Peter Odemwingie this morning so time for a recap - although Swansea and Stoke are also interested, Cardiff City are, at the moment, in pole position to sign the West Brom striker.

Benalouane is Fulham's only Deadline Day target
This just in from Sportsmail's Laura Williamson:
Fulham are expecting a 'very quiet' day in the transfer market. There's still potential for a deal with Parma for defender Yohan Benalouane, but the chances of that happening are looking increasingly slim.

The 26-year-old has also attracted interest from Swansea and Stoke, but the fact Parma and AC Cesena share his ownership (with a 50 per cent stake each) makes any transfer that little bit more difficult.

Baird will bide his time over QPR move
    From Laurie Whitwell:
Harry Redknapp said at the weekend he wants Chris Baird to make up is mind on an offer from QPR but the versatile defender-come-midfielder is another one who will bide his time until after the window closes.
Baird, a 31-year-old free agent, has been training with Rangers but is also the subject of interest from Bolton.

    Schalke unable to afford Adebayor
    13 HOURS TO GO
John Edwards with the latest on dealings at White Hart Lane:
Tottenham’s hopes of offloading Emmanuel Adebayor have scarcely been helped by a plea of poverty from Schalke.
The Bundesliga side are expected to sell Switzerland winger Tranquillo Barnetta to Eintracht Frankfurt, ahead of Germany’s midday deadline, but are still unable to afford any fee for Adebayor, despite earmarking him as a prime candidate to solve their lack of firepower.
They would like to take him on a season-long loan, but Tottenham are unlikely to be impressed by a request that they pay half his wages.

QPR, Palace, Watford and Ajax queue for Carroll
Joe Bernstein has an update on Tom Carroll - a man in demand:
Tottenham and England under-21 midfielder Tom Carroll is a man in demand today.
Besides QPR, the highly-rated youngster has also been given the opportunity to join Crystal Palace and Watford on loan.
And from left-field Dutch club Ajax has also expressed an interest, with opinion split within White Hart Lane whether he should stay in England or go abroad to continue his development. All the options are for loans - Spurs have no intention of selling Carroll.

Vermiji goes on loan to NEC
21-year-old Belgian defender Marnick Vermijl is to leave Manchester United on a season-long loan to join Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.

Mourinho keen on reunion with Khedira
Huge story for Chelsea fans... from Sportsmail's John Edwards:
Interesting rumour doing the rounds in Madrid. While all eyes are on Arsenal’s £40million pursuit of unsettled playmaker Mesut Ozil, it seems he may not be the only Germany midfielder heading out of the Bernabeu.
There are suggestions that Sami Khedira could also be on his way out and that Stamford Bridge may be his destination.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho signed former Stuttgart midfielder Khedira for Real Madrid and is thought to be interested in sealing a reunion with him before tonight’s deadline.

Ozil plays in the number 10 role, what's the point in having Rooney, Kagawa and Ozil all fighting for the one role.

At least Fellaini and Herrera are centre midfielders, which is clearly what united need more of.

In saying that, could United not just offer a swap deal for Rooney and Ozil to madrid??? That would make sense.

They should be going for the 3 of them is my point if ozil is available, and ozil, rooney and kagawa could all interchange between themselves like chelseas trio who play in behind the strikers do. On top of that rooney doesnt always play like he did against chelsea and usually has several fitness/injury issues throughout a season and im not totally confidant in kagawas ability/mentality to make a breakthrough cause barr the very odd game last season he was usually posted missing.

Would love Ozil to Arsenal. Still think they need a striker though.

Goal reporting a fee been agreed between Arsenal and Madrid for Ozil of £40m, medical due. Calling BS on it tbh but its a story...

EDIT : BBC also reporting this now too

Cant see why they'd let Ozil go, he's phenomenal (coming from someone who hates Madrid)

For the fees going about nowadays, I'd say that for Ozil isn't too bad.

Hope De Rossi doesn't go to Man Utd. Dislike Man U, and really like De Rossi.
