I meant the actions at the game as a whole would change how some people would think about us....not just the flare.
Why dont you go and stand in front of a mirror and ask yourself....how far will you go and hurt celtic to get what you want.

I'm all for stopping UTR chants, it's a small price to pay to keep the rest of our songbook, that doesn't mean I agree with UEFA when they fined us.

Do I think the banner could have been more eloquently put? Yes

Am I going to call these fans a disgrace and want them banned for life for daring to stand up for what they believe in? No siree bob.

I'll ask again (not aimed at you in particular Wullie)

Where was this moral outrage from our fans when the "* bill leckie" banner was unfurled?

They didn't see the Leckie banner because it wasn't on telly or in The Sun.

So here we are again......only real fans go to games and everyone else can get to *......?????
For every fan in the ground there will be a thousand that are not lucky enough to live in glasgow but maybe have sky sports or buy celtic shirts.
Yes they may not spend £500 each year for a ticket but celtic make more money from other source than they do ticket sales.

How is celtic meant to grow and draw new fans from other places like japan/korea/china/usa......if we dont take care about what the media print about us,most of these fans their first impression of celtic will be what the media gives them.
but hey ho.....so long as you get to beat your chest and sing your wee songs * everyone else.
You truly are a real fan.

tell you what mate you just highlight what you think will suit your argument. My point was i dont give a * what the media think of us I care what football fans think of us, but if you read my post youd of realised that.

If you think we get support because of what the media print about us, all I can say is:56: And yes I will sing songs while you sit on your hands being offended and afraid what the sun write.

i honnestly dont understand where this comes from. its no secret what some members of our support like to sing and show. and its also no secret that alot of people dont.

however whether you agree or not you cannot allow these songs/banners etc for years and years then all of a sudden outlaw it, and then think everyone is going to follow suit.

i compare it to something like prohabition. whether u agree with alcohol or not at that time in america it was allowed (just like singing up the Ra and various others were at celtic park, even if not everyone agreed), then soon as the booze was outlawed those who still had a sneaky drink were cast as outlaws and criminals, but are they really? (same as those who sing songs etc, yeah probablies better if they didnt to keep the peace, same as the world would be more peaceful without drink) but i can think of other crimes that people get a slap on the wrist for daily that i would rank aloth higher than what this person done.

Sween, are you on a loop with your patter about the queen, orange *, and terrorist organisations?

An awful sensitive soul by all accounts.

See this ^, that right there, is there really any need for that?

Some of you think really highly of yourselves I must say.

The condescending attitude towards fellow fans is * shocking!

no may be about it wullie, he is deffinately being used as an example!

i still think this is a massive own goal by lennon and lawell, would have been best to keep quiet on this one and lennon mentioning spelling is just * idiotic from him and will likely antagonise but i hope not

flares are a regular occurance in Italian football i wouldn't be surprised is someone outside the ground was selling them

the banner is just too ridiculous to even attempt to take seriously, i dont think uefa would have charged the club over that banner ffs, it was ridiculous, like the guy who made it had an IQ of 22 or something

the flare throwing might get us a fine though :(

lennon and lawell talking about this relatively small incident has given the rags coulums and columns also front and back pages to drag our club down they shouldn't have commented

That would be ridiculous tbh given the surroundings.

Pyrotechnics is small fry stuff in a country where you see scooters getting chucked off the top tiers off stadiums onto the lower tier.........
