Neil Lennon: "fans let us down"

No, just a misguided effort at humour.

But a serious question. Stein spoke against these type of fans. Hay did. Lennon has. Previous and current boards have. Many fans have. Almost every other football fan in Scotland has. Now not only as they disagreeable but they are actually costing the club money. Who or what are these people actually supporting?

 

So what would you call so- called fans who put the banner up then ??? mmm maybe "silly wee rascles" "cheeky wee monkeys" ..... I find it astonishing that theses idiots are getting the sympathy vote and our manager is being portrayed as the villain it`s a joke.

You dont think there are morons who support celtic? Why on earth would anyone want to defend any scumbag just because they happen to like the same football club as yourself? Happily the vast vast majority of celtic fans are well behaved, but I do not believe that one must refuse to question or condemn the actions of idiots just because they also happen to support celtic, and especially when their actions are costing celtic money as well as their reputation.

 

i find it a joke the way you are talking about and too some of our own fans. People are entitled to their own opinions and allowed to express them just because you don't agree with them does not give you a right to talk to them like *. You're not better than people just because a poll says your in the majority, that's * pathetic. The way some people are getting treated on this forum right now disgusts me and has put me off it

 

You think people should be free to chuck flares, assault stewards, fly contenious mis-spelled banners, and sing songs about a terrorist army. And now they get the club we all love fined. But if you call them stupid you are pathetic and you are not entitled to an opinion?

As always be it talking about player effort, tactics, referees or idiots in our support, Neil Lennon has given his honest views. In this instance I agree with him. Neil Lennon is more representative of the club than these self indulgent neds who put the banner up. I can't describe them any other way going by their actions. I don't give a * whether they are fellow fans or not.

 

The way some fans treat our club disgusts me.

 

Looks like i got my answer there - With fans like you on board and cant see the damage this "Scum of the Earth" are causing OUR club. You must be happy to see the club hung out to dry then and fined and possibly banned. Yes def a new "Breed" of supporter coming through i can see here. thank * the vast majority on here are decent and can see who the real idiots are who shame Celtic.

 

I think lennon has more than most earned the right to speak his mind on celtic matters.
I wont always agree with what he says but unlike some on here i will not change my mind about him and change him from legend to * lennon.
Will he be the fist person on here to go from legend to * lennon and back to legend if he wins the spl.

When the fans who actually pay money and travel to the games stop going this club will be finished as a world famous club. This is happening slowly, too many fans have been alienated and a football club losing paying customers surely is not a good strategy.

When the Minority fans start their "F*** Uefa banners their rebel songs. their anti poppy banners then the Club WONT be involved in any European competitions.

 

I supported Lennon all throughout the time he has been in charge (except half time at rugby park but even he admitted he was near resigning there) and I still believe he is the right man for footballing reasons but for footballing reasons alone now. He has been criticising the GB recently in several of his comments there is no other way to interpret it other than that and quite frankly that's appalling behaviour coming from him. And anyone who goes to Celtic park to back their team (i.e. everyone except the Moan Brigade) will surely agree that Lennon is in the wrong to have a dig at the GB of all people.

I think this poll shows its not 0.1% of the support but quite a sizeable chunk albeit a minority, I would be interested to see this poll only with season ticket holders but I guess that isn't possible.

 

Lennon has been an idiot on a number of occasions, now this season he is acting like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth!

He is pathetic now, I liked him better when he was himself instead of some victim always appealing for the "idiots to behave." He has absolutely no passion now as well, Lawwells yes man.

Why are times changing?

Why are some things suddenly not going to be tolerated?

These are the questions I'd like answered, there was no problem dishing out awards when they chants were ongoing and now we're being punished. It's just a complete farce if I'm honest.

I'm not easily offended, never have been but I really can't see why our songs are a sudden problem. There's nothing wrong with anything on our song-sheet bar that incident against Hearts.

We can't stand at the football and it's as if we can't sing the songs, which have been sung on many occasions now either. We'd be just as well on our chairs at home watching it live with the rebels on. In fact, I would do so if I didn't want to actively support the team so desperately. Therefore, I'll be singing and chanting throughout the country and so will the majority of our away support.

Let The People Sing.

I hope that's a song a lot of the posters on here haven't been singing at games because it's clear some posters don't want that at all.

It already is happening I know a lot of guys who stopped going because they can't stand the people in charge or the direction the club is moving in.

I'm not renewing next year either, all this pish from Lennon, Lawwel and Bankier. I would rather give the money to charity! I'll miss the match day experience more than anything but I'm not putting up with it anymore.
