Can't believe folk are slating Shawshank :56:

A complete masterpiece of cinema. Brilliant acting, brilliant actors, brilliant story, brilliant setting, brilliant commentary over the top, brilliant film.

Scarface - its cool to like rather thann it being a great film

Godfather 1,2 and 3 - first not so bad but the second * me, it took me about four tries just to get to to the end.

Braveheart - in my opinion just an absolute farce, so many mistakes and I just thought it was crap.

Avatar - mix the smurfs with pocahontas, add in a bit of celestial prophecy and u get avatar. Crap, if the * in that film could walk he would never have betrayed the human race.

This is all I can think of right now but if I think of more I'll post them.

I liked No Country.....but thought the ending was poor!
    Never watched Godfather 3....never will!
Shawshank........was a decent film, just not as good as is made out.
Jaws......where do i start?A classic film....yes it is predictable junk, but it is cinematic genius!

The whole 'wife sob story' sucked the life right out it for me.

I was bored shitless to be honest.

I was sceptical about all the prequels before they came out, but the only real disappointment for me was 'The Phantom Menace', Jar Jar Binks was just a 'flask-seller' and was the worst character ever.

The other two I thought were exceptional, the way Lucas linked all 6 together was truly remarkable, the man is a genius, incredible imagination.

Have to disagree with you on this. All three prequels are well below the standards of the original trilogy. The direction is pretty poor & the acting talent on display is wasted, the storyline has huge holes in it & everything about the three prequels is secondary to the sheer volume & use of special effects, whereas SPFX were used to enhance the original trilogy.

To be honest I don't think you can take the acting too seriously, but the scene in the 3rd movie where Annakin is left dying by Obi Wan is pretty powerful and emotional for me.

The story has holes in it during the original 3 episodes as well, but I think the way he linked it all together in the 3rd movie was pretty impressive and some of the battle scenes are epic.

Originals are admittedly way better, but then they are probably the greatest science-fiction movies of all time.

Shawshank is one of my favourite films of all time :56:. Agree with Star Wars and LOTR, just not into those types of films
