I preferred the Triple H/Rock Iron man, I remember watching it live going nuts at all the falls and then the ending.

The Chyna vid is, in a word, brutal.

Without going into graphic detail it looks as if she has injected steroids into her bits.

Best match ever for me was Rock/Austin WM the one they used Limp Bizkit to build up, i still get shivers when i see that video. I'm going to dig it out now actually if i can find it!

I can't be arsed reading through every page before posting this so I'll just throw my bit in just now.

I used to love the wrestling in the days when it was the WWF.
I have to say it's lost it's appeal to me just now and it's mainly due to the fact that I don't like any of the current wrestlers and it's become far too overly dramatic like a soap for me.
I'm sure I could still enjoy watching it but some of the wrestlers on it now are *.
I used to love Mankind and The Rock.
1995-2004 was the peak of it all for me personally.

And shouldn't this be in the pub section because the WWE is hardly a sport.

By no means am i a fanboy but wait..... firstly if you don't like wwe then don't post in a wwe thread :31: now thats out the way let me say this, you say all the wrestlers are s**te now, well 80% of them where here before the name switch secondly it has always been overly dramatic and this is the whole point of the show, its supposed to push the bounderies and entertain wich it does every show, if you dont like it then thats cool but dont post in a thread about a sport you dont like, btw wwe is a sport :56: it's also an olympic sport aswel so dont know what you base your conclusion on...

Because I used to like watching it and I'm entitled to post in the thread if I want to.
If you read my post again you'll notice that I said some of the wrestlers in it now are * (not all of them) and that "I'm sure I could still enjoy watching it."
At no point did I suggest the name change made it bad. I didn't even claim that it wasn't good. All I said was that I liked it when it was called the WWF not because it was called the WWF.
I said it had lost it's appeal to me and I'm sure it does still entertain but there's a lot of it that I now find boring and unnecessary. I haven't watched it in a while because the long dragged out story lines made it boring for me personally.
The trash talk and the actual 'wrestling' part was always the best bit for me.

And on the note of it being a sport. It's not.
    It's classed as sports entertainment.
Sports entertainment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Therefore, not a sport, but based on a sport.

And yes I know olympic wrestling is a sport.
I had a go at it once. But obviously not at olympic level.
So please don't tell me where I can and can't post.

If you cant be arsed to read through any of it, and you dont watch it, then why post in the thread, i don't watch nor like golf so i would stay out of there, the folk who post here do watch wwe and do like it so your going to get ribbed for posting something useless and not really contirbuting to the thread in any way.

I still dont get why you think its any different now to when it was called wwf, for as long as i remember the storylines always lasted like 2-3 months sometimes longer, and all the daft theatricals have always been prominant just as they are today.

Also i know what the "E" in wwe stands for ok, but the point still stands...its a sport, mixed with entertainment but a sport non the less.

Once again read what I said.
I said I couldn't be arsed reading through every page.
I did read through quite a few first but there are a lot.
And I decided to look at the thread to see what people were talking about with the possibility of getting a few links to some old clips. Which I did and enjoyed. I posted in the thread because I had something to say and didn't expect you to jump down my throat just because I said it didn't appeal to me anymore. I don't care if I get ribbed about it. I can handle a slagging.

The main reason I don't watch it now is that I don't enjoy it as much, but I also don't have sky tv anymore so I can't watch it anyway. Which is why having a look on a forum which is bound to have a few links is handy for me. And just because I don't watch it now doesn't mean I won't like watching clips from the past.

Also, just because this is a WWE thread, doesn't mean every single post about it has to be positive. I was only stating my opinion which I'm perfectly entitled to do. Or is the WWE thread immune to someone saying that they don't like it?

And I must say again, it's not a sport because the winners are pre-determined.
The wrestlers don't actually compete with each other, they're just acting because they know who is going to be the winner. They're just putting on a show.
Yes wrestling is a sport but the WWE is not a sport but I did agree that it is based on sport.
So the point still stands, it's sports entertainment, not sport.

And on the topic of how theatrical it is, I guess that when I was younger that kind of thing used to seem really cool to me and now that I'm older I just noticed how much like a soap opera it was and started to enjoy it less. The difference with WWF and WWE is probably just that after watching it for a long time, the story lines seemed less creative and more unoriginal and the excitement gradually drained out for me. So all I'm saying is that I had lost interest by the time it became WWE and not WWF.
I'd still like to watch wrestling every now and again but I just wouldn't become as thrilled with it as I did when I was 11.

I didn't realise that only saying I wasn't into WWE would * you off. Seems a bit silly. Just a thought.

There is a difference between those sentences.
I don't like any but don't think all of them are terrible to watch.
I can still dislike a wrestler yet know that he's entertaining for others to watch.
    i.e HHH, don't like him but don't think he's *.

No mahn that aint what * me off it's trolling that * me off and thats pretty much what you did.

And no it doesn't need to be positive posting in the wwe thread but you don't need to go on here just to state you don't watch it anymore, its pointless,if you are going on for links to old clips ect then just scour the thread, find them and then say thank you.

No chance lol, i know he will win but i live in hope, think the wwe should let him have his run now after all these years of him giving his all for the company.

PS do you know the script?

Used to always watch RAW wouldnt miss it but got older and all the favourites got old and left haha.

Still watch Main events though, Shelton Benjamin is lookin like a talented wrestler, could be the next Y2J or suhhin.

Ma el' favourites:RIC FLAIR, The Rock, Stone Cold and the Kane & X-Pac tag team!

It's just a shame that the full D-X could never be re-united to wreak havok on vince for a few years again :(
