Would have to be King of Kings, Henrik Larsson.

    I'm not picky.
I think he was a bit more than a couple of feet away from where the ball came down from. He was a good 6 or 7 yards away (possibly a bit more) from the headed down ball and it doesn't matter if he was 6 feet or 60 yards away from the it - the ball never went to him until it was headed to him hence not interfering with play. Just watching it again and he was even just BARELY in an offside position when the ball was crossed. Wanyama was caught ball watching a bit unfortunately and was caught the wrong side of De Natale.

If he was flagged for offside I would obviously have taken it because it means they wouldn't have had their goal (and it would have countered the "penalty" they got at Celtic Park). But I know that if we scored like that and the goal was flagged as offside we would have been screwed by another decision because it was a legitimate goal.

I would feel the same way if it was one of our players too so at least we agree on that one :icon_mrgreen:

But yeh looks like we'll need to agree to disagree on this one, mate :50:

Anyway, I thought we were good tonight. Outplayed them a good few times and we didn't seem overawed at all. To come away from Italy with a draw against the team that is leading the way in Serie A is a * good result.

And just to think as well - about three months ago (maybe not even that) I saw people say that we would be getting nothing from the group games, we would be humiliated, that the league was finished as well and that Lennon should go :56:

Roll on the 28th and hopefully we'll give the manky lot a * good beating.

Delighted with that performance and I hope the Hun fans saw that and are now * themselves for the 28th. I'm also quite glad that there will be no more mid week trips in to Europe for this season as stopping 4 is a row in imperative.

You folks that are quite content with us going out do my head in. Why you wouldn't want to be in the last 32, and play knock-out football against better opposition (anyone we would be drawn with) is beyond me. The team grows in Europe, not by focusing on playing * St. Johnstone.

I felt a tad emotional last night after I saw us really going for them in the last 10 minutes, I can't offer a single negative with the lads, they all grafed and IMO deserved to go through from our 1st half showing.

28th of December, WE WILL DESTROY HE HUNS :47:

I don't think people are content with going out. But taking heart in an excellent performance isn't wrong surely.

I think we've done ourselves proud in Europe this season. Mowbray set the team back a good 3 years at least, so I think it was only realistic to expect us to take that long to build up a European reputation in Europe. We were in easily the toughest group in the competition, we got 2 away draws and showed that we are more than capable of competing. There's a lot to build on, remember we only drew tonight due to a poor defensive mistake, we only drew away in Rennes because of a poor defensive mistake and we only drew at home to Udinese because of a dreadful penalty decision. There's a lot to build on here, now let's focus on winning the treble and coming back to conquer Europe next year.

So proud of the way we played last night. It would have been fantastic to get the result but the performance was enough for me.
Watched it down the pub and then went home and watched it again hoping for a different result - id had a few pints by this stage.

Now just need to maintain that passion and quality and get the league title back.

Y'know, coming off of the Sion debacle I completely bricked it when I saw the group we were drawn in, thought we were going to get embarrassed. Now that the dust has settled I look back and see we were worth at least a point from our two Madrid games, should've beaten Rennes home and away and were very unlucky not to have at least 4 points from the Udinese games. All in all, compared to the start of the season we've made big strides. I can only hope that we push on from this and take control of the league so that next season we can pick up some CL experience for this still very young team.

Notice McGeouch, despite being the closest to the first team is never in the EL match squads?

I remember someone saying that you don't have to register players under 21, but im sure hearing beforehand you do and he was unregistered.

We were robbed last night. THey did pretty much dominate most of the second half but we should have had it wrapped up int he first half. And how did we not get a penalty?
That's 2 decisions against Udinese that could have put us through.
But we played really well in all the games and we need to maintain that level of performance to get our title back from that manky lot.
