No way. Zidane isn't going to fair better though, is he?

Could ruin him. Poisoned chalice now.

Could be the making of him. Perez * loves Zidane, he's a * amongst the fans.

    He could change the ethos.

Depending it he's any use as a manager though.

Hiring Benitez was a horrible move. It was never going to work. * knows what Perez was thinking when he hired him.

Real need to have a good think about the way they run the football side of the club. They cannot just keep getting rid of managers every time they have three bad results on the trot or they fail to win the league. It's an insane way to operate. What that club needs is some stability. They have everything going for them. Enormous fanbase, loads of money and a reputation large enough to attract any player in the world. The sky is literally the limit for them. Yet they have won one La Liga title in seven years is it? That in itself tells you there are major issues with the way the club is being run.

Some medium/long term thinking is what that club needs right now. I don't envision that happening anytime soon though.

    Good point.

I still don't see how it can work though, the galactico nonsense just isn't conducive to winning.

So long as the football is channeled though Ronaldo, the team will suffer.

I mean apart from Mourinhos winning season the last time they won was 2007-08? I don't think they were super star laden. I mean they spent quite a bit aye but it wasn't like now. I don't remember the football being fantastic but they got the job done and were able to grind out a win - they had a winning mentality.

Edit: Agree Marky - might be why Zidane is being chosen? He can maybe bring stability back, the fans will give him time.

What now for Rafa though? :smiley-laughing002: Won't be long until he gets the P.S.G. job or something.

Apparently all the kids from Barca's academy that resulted in their embargo have gotten licenses from FIFA to compete after a long process of appeals. Weird one. Wonder if they hadn't done much wrong (the American was a ridiculous situation, his parents were living there working and making a decent living completely independent of FCB but he was barred from playing for the club) or if they're taking advantage of some tumultuous times in Zurich.
