    Honestly - I know that now we've got that contract signed, we're trying to big him up so we can sell him.

    brown could hold his own in the EPL. Alot of people said the same about mcgeady when he was here , and now hes doing his stuff in a stronger league .

    Good to see him sign anyway .. and put it to bed once and for all .

    really, butch? He could have signed for anyone (with Newcastle monitoring him) on a free but your theory is that he has signed a new contract with us for no other reason than to go chasing a bigger wage?

    In the top 2/3s yes, but some of the teams in there are simply awful. West Ham last year was abysmal. Swansea have held a great home record with players mostly from the Championship. The idea that any team in the EPL would be an SPL all-star team is a myth.

    Barry Robson was a career SPL man and has crushed it for Middlesbrough for 2 years now as their most consistent player. Macarthur and McCarthy were good SPL players and are now considered good(albeit not great) young talents in the EPL.
