Nope, he's also proven himself on the European stage on several occasions since signing for us last summer.

You have been proved wrong mate just accept it.
He scored last time out in Europe and won a peno the previous game.
Not great today but defiantly a Europa League Quality player.

As someone pointed out, he has 3 goals in 5 Euro matches.

What more do you want from him?

this may sound really stupid but in the CL what is the difference between the champions route and the non-champions route?

In the champions path there is no chance that we can draw a team that have not won their domestic league. As the champions of the top 12 ranked nations get automatic group entry, it means that we will not draw a team that are far better than us. Even in the final round (the playoff round) our seeding should mean that we draw a team ranked below us. This might help explain it.

They were. Better on the ball and had us chasing the match from the beginning. We did well to compete but if we're being honest, we were beaten by a far better side.

Maybe wouldn't go as far as saying Forrest 7.5. But Loovens was rank.

Very important to be seeded for the CL, it's the difference between getting Maribor or Arsenal

Thought Loovens was alright, maybe a 7.

He spent half the night covering for that big dumpling Dan.

    Third qualifying round
The third qualifying round will be split into two separate sections: one for champions and one for non-champions. The losing teams in both sections will enter the play-off round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League.

Champions

20 teams will play in the third qualifying round for champions: the 17 winners from the second qualifying round, and the following 3 teams which are expected to enter in this round.

I'm disappointed because I've been looking forward to that game for ages. But more so because we have the talent, but for whatever reason we can't put it all together for the huge games.

I thought Ki was poor tonight, I would have taken him off at half time. And Loovens was also poor, always seemed to wait for the ball to come to him rather than attack it. The windy conditions made it difficult for him though. Sammy was pretty good, just lacking in the final third. So all in all, disappointed but we never embarrassed ourselves like many predicted when we were added to this group.

Now just put in a good performance against Udinese. Who knows what might happen if we just go for it.

Thought Loovens was suspect tbh. Lots of passes just going right through him can't remember him making a good tackle either. Won a few headers but that's as far as I'd praise him
