    they have spent 45m this summer and you could see the diff we battled against superior opposition but not good enough,our defence is shocking keeper and 2 cbs just not good enough an accident waiting to happen.our battle this year is trying to win league but the lads tried well tonite

    You go back in your archive of all the match reports you have written (or someone else) and tell me, when was the last game Loovens let the side down? Just dont see it. He's been doing a good job this season imo.

    Well done to the Bhoys tonight. Put a lot of effort into the game but just couldn't break them down. Thought it was the wrong change to bring Brown on for Stokes. We were needing a goal and while I am a fan Scott Brown, he certainly wasn't going to be the one who was going to get it. A solid performance without creating enough chances and we will need to put in a massive performance in Italy.

    I've only been a member of the news team since September and Loovens hasn't been featuring a lot lately. He only really came back into the side at the weekend there against St Mirren.

    Anyway, minus a few decent performances here and there, I just don't think he's good enough to be a regular centre back at Celtic. We have much better options in defence than both Loovens and Majstorovic. Wanyama, Rogne, Mulgrew, Wilson (when he returns, which I think is going to be soon).

    Once we have a fully fit squad at our disposal again, I don't think Loovens will get near the team. We are so short on resources right now, that we have no choice but to play him.

    If you can't see that Brown is our most influential player, then I believe we're done. Even the crowd got a rise out of seeing him come back. He's respected by most people at the football club.

    When you're in the muck and struggling to grasp a lock on the game, he's exactly the kind of player you need, IMO.
