    Are you being deliberately stupid?

The only reason people are mentioning Alex Ferguson, Jock Stein etc is to illustrate that those guys, in their early years as a manager, did much the same thing that Neil Lennon did on Wednesday night. Nobody is suggesting Neil Lennon is as good a manager as Alex Ferguson or Jock Stein.

    * *, this still going on? We just won with an emphatic 5-0 scoreline and every player on the pitch was fantastic, yet some people are still greeting because big, bad Lennon said something to a moron in the crowd.

Get over it and concentrate on what really matters; supporting the club.

see if you have nothing constructive to say then say nothing

And how do we know the guy is a moron?? he is a paying Celtic fan like ourselves thats all i know. and why are people bringing todays result into it.. what has that to do with anything.. lennons had his chance in my eyes & not only is he a useless manager he is also a hothead.. so im sorry for offending your "leader" but its Celtic Football Club im intrested in & love not a rookie manager who if he had any sense would have known the job is too big for him & refused to have took it in the 1st place.

I think you might rethink that at the end of this season

It is a forum and I'll say it the way I see it. You're wrong, but I'll let you carry on in your little, delusional world, regardless :56:

Just know that you're in the minority, as the 48,000 supporters that attended the match today and many other people that have backed Lennon through thick and thin would disagree with your "useless manager" comments.

Well i think by saying that they are comparing.. otherwise why mention there names??

At the end of the day what Neil did the other night was irresponsible, foolish & stupid, he admitted as much himself.

What if one of Lennons most fervent "disciples" had attacked this guy in the crowd because he had dared to question his "leader"?.. it couldve possibly ended in some severe violence.. not the kind of behaviour i expect from the manager of our club.

Having a go at one of our own because the "moron" dared to question him - after all the * we have had to endure these last few years.. Neil should be * on his knees begging for forgiviness for some of his managment decisions... not shouting at people from the comfort & security of the tunnel.

I think your the one thats delusional.. its only online i see so much fellow fans backing Lennon.. id say the majority have just about had enough of him .. beating st mirren & ICT does not make him a good manager all of a sudden. winning tites does that.

You must have totally missed Lennon's players being applauded off of the park after a dazzling performance then. A performance that was only made possible because Lennon signed these players.

But yes, I'm the delusional one. If you think its only fans on these forums that back Lennon, then you have some searching still to do.

where did i say i hate the guy?? hes not ready to be manager of our club.. thats very diffrent from saying i hate him.. stop being so defensive of him ok this is what happens everytime theres a debate about him.. hence why people like myself think there is a cult surrounding him with some fellow fans , did mowbray, barnes even the late great Tommy Burns recieve the same unconditional backing... answer - no!!

Yeah off course his players got applauded for a wonderful display... doesnt mean that we are all blinded to the truth & suddenly think Lennon has became a great manager in a few weeks.. lets wait till the crunch games happen,& then if Lennon manages to turn it around ill be the 1st to applaud him.. as it is so far when it has come to the real crunch most times lennon has got his tactics spectacuarly wrong & humping St Mirren isnt going to make me forget those games... no way!

Neil Lennon has more passion in his big toe than John Barnes and Tony Mowbray. He didnt just sit in the dug out with his arms folded the way them two did and Neil Lennon has done more for celtic than them two have done put together, thats why Neil Lennon has my respect. So whatever you are drinking stop now and watch the x factor mate

Nobody is saying he deserves to be called a great manager...yet.

But the praise he and his players are getting now is more than deserved, considering what they have had to put up with in the last few months.

You're right this time though, its the crunch games that will decide his future status as manager. But he got the majority of the big games right last season.

ps i wasnt refering to you i was refering to the people that come on with little one liners like "lay off the drink mate" or "shut it ya numpty".. threads like these are full of them.. ok my opinon may not be the most popular but they should argue with me (debate) in an * sensible way, after all we all want the same thing.. but its always the same when it comes to Lennon.. people are so emotionally attached to the guy its unreal.. its also the same emotional attatchment to him that keeps these fellow Celtic fans from judging him fairly as they would any other manager.

The games in this next few weeks and the Old Firm on the 28th will make or break Lennon imo
