I'd like to see us buy another cheap promising young striker (like we did with Sno last year for midfield) along with the new Top Quality Striker, namely Antonio Floro Flores, he plays in Serie B so he could be bought cheap, he can also do what our strikers failed to do:

i could definatly see healy joining in the summer

if strachan instills some confidence in him and plays to healys strengths he could be a definate improvement on miller

hes also shown that he can score against the big boys for northern ireland, and on the big stage, that would only bode well for champions league matches

Theres no way on earth that david healy is a champions league player, if he was then liverpool spurs etc would be snapping him up. Hes a championship player at best .

David Healy is not a Celtic quality player. I've seen him in the Championship for the last few years and he is woeful. He is also a sulker aswell.

Yes that was my feeling with the McDonald signing, that he was been brought in as a squad player and that 1 or 2 of the current backups would be sold.

    Why?

He's 32 and Bayern will be looking to unload him as they'll be buying a new Striker to play beside Podolski, would get him for 1/2 Mil and he'll be great for a season or two.

Never said he's a full package but he's close enough to being one which is why Strachan plays him, it's known that he puts his heart into training so it's only a matter of time before he improves (and he has improved though being paired with Lennon hasn't helped him in the least) his technique, now if you want to rage on someone who doesn't know a pass from a shot you're better off grilling McGeady.

i mean hes a big game player whcih he has proved for N.ireland, and hes capable of scoring against the best countries in the world.

if he can score against england and get a hattrick against spain and 2 against sweden etc, why can't he do that on the big stage in the champions league

which i think he could with confidence and a team playing to his strengths, which leeds evidently don't.

he isn't at liverpool or spurs, because he can't do it at league level at the moment, but even if he failed in the premierhsip who said he couldn't score goals in the SPL, just look at kenny miller.

the difference between miller and healy is healy is excellent on the big stage and regularly shows his best on the big stage

healy might not be prolific in the league, but surely in the SPL with celtic creating a number of chances for him he would soon bring his international goals into the league.

    i didn't say that?

i'm purely saying that if celtic played to his strengths just like ireland do, and if strachan instilled confidence in him just like laurie sachez has, then with the amount of chances celtic create he would score a hatful.

Hes playing in a struggling team in the championship with zero confidence, who don't play to his strengths, he can't be expected to just be banging them in
