    I stopped reading right there.

You obviously have never been to a derby match.

I half agree with you gunt. I agree 100% with your sentiment that it is clearly aimed at sorting out the "angry-head types". I do think it is vague but the more I think about it the more it makes sense that it has to be. For if they just published a massive list of songs allowed and songs not allowed, it would be a matter of weeks before both sets of "angry heads" found new songs to push the boundaries. The law is there to allow police where they see fit the ability to charge people for spouting hate and misbehaving. The problem is going to be allowing this interpretation to exist, especially when those singing the songs have already decided that they will fight anyone against them stopping.

Hopefully that 90% will be in prison. So the remaining 10% can go to games and clap occasionally.

So how does it work? If someone disagrees with the mighty Gunt's opinion then they are knuckle-draggers? It was clear who that comment was aimed at, don't further insult the intelligence of people that are meant to be fellow fans. You're arrogance is astounding - people have a different opinion from you and have researched this bill and what it says - get the * over it, build a bridge and get off your high horse.

Who needs rivals when you have fans willing to put you down for everything....

Apologies to anyone who was offended by the names I have used to describe those of a particular view on this. I got overheated a bit by all of this. I stand by my views but I was an * for using name calling

Derby match? I'd be surprised if he'd been anywhere near Parkhead recently!

    Fair enough.

although if you're getting overheated in an online debate it just goes to show how easy it is for even the most level-headed people to get caught up in emotion. I go to home games with my Dad - he rarely swears or anything but on old firm day I have seen him lose the rag. Would it be fair that he could say something that he doesn't even mean, inthe heat of the moment and be arrested for it and lose his job and home?

It happens... especially at the football.

Be thankful that your temper probably wont get you the jail.

Would it be any more or less acceptable if he was filmed shouting "* you ya stupid inbred * *", or "catholic *, or "black/asian/muslim/English/orange *". Is your argument that anything goes, or is it anything goes if it regards "huns" or "orange *" but everything else is unacceptable?

Nail in the coffin. Still too much open to interpretation.

Why can't they just come out and say you can't sing A, B, C and D. No grey area.

    This is a * disgrace.

Huns isn't secterian or anyway. It's offensive name we made up for the barbarians on the other side of the divide.

But again, there we go it's an offensive name. Jail.

Exactly, but then again some huns don't class it as an offensive term - no jail. Some tims find the word tim offensive - some don't. There are far too many variables in action here for this bill to work. Surely the current system isn't that bad? This has all stemmed from a total media over-reaction to the 'Shame Game' - which has turned from the police wanting more done about domestic abuse to Salmond's inflated ego taking over, ignoring what the police wanted exactly and running with something he thinks will make him look popular.

    Agree with this in principle.

The CU Podcast made this point and Eddie Pearson on it pointed out that it would lead to even more * with everyone asking "who decided this and why these songs?" etc. :50:

I personally find the word moist offensive. Just say it is, it's a * disgusting word.
