Dylan McGeouch

Hope to see him given his chance in the SPL but he won't play much CL football in my opinio, similarly with Tony Watt, if others are fit then they will play in th CL. BUt I do hope he plays 15 - 20+ games in the SPL starting a good amount of them.

What is his fitness status? I thought he was back in training but not sure. Maybe he might be able to make the bench for Saturdays game against Dundee.

 

I'm sure he's back training. Whether he makes the bench would rest on the fitness of Ledley and Kayal I would have thought.

 

Hope he gets some playing time again soon, really promising player.

There is a lot of hype with dylan that i just don't quite get yet, but i will wait longer to see more games. He was decent against Real Madrid but he wasn't head and shoulders above them, we do tend to do this with our young players, making them out to be better than they currently are.

 

In the last 10 years Iv felt a lot of our youngsters have failed to live up to their potential possibly cos their overhyped to begin with.

Dylan Is different I believe though. People can say he didn't set up or score a goal against madrid but against one of the best teams in the world he held his own. Even when he received the ball in tight areas surrounded by opposition players he managed to lift his head and find a man.

His ball control, ball retention and decision making are top notch for someone his age.

Maybe the people who dont rate him so highly never watched him in the next gen series? one of the best players on the pitch against barca man city and Marseilles

 

Well he was getting MOTM in the stadium so he must have been doing something right.

And I'm not making him out to be anything, I've never tended to big up our youngsters, not after seeing lads like Simon Donnely, Burchill etc.. burst onto the scene and then fade away, but the fact is he had a great game and didn't look out of place, he ran rings round them at times and was - in some other peoples eyes as well - the best player on the park or else he wouldn't have been getting MOTM.

At last, a bit of reality on this subject.

 

Again you go on about this Real Madrid friendly , he was not the best player on the park. Far from it and he never ran rings round them either. He beat a couple of players in his whole time on the park and never made 1 telling pass in a game we were convincingly beaten yet you keep saying he was man of the match. Absolutly baffling

Maybe because his dad picked it?? Or his cousin ?? How the * do i know ?? How many times have you heard a mom being announced at Celtic park and burst out laughing because you cant believe they got it?? Sponsors pick the mom for us so * knows who picked it at their stadium(if he did get it that is??). Watch that video and please tell me 5 bits of play that were brilliant, or even the bits he ran rings round them as you said. Talk about overhyping a player, unreal !!
