Would like to wish Dylan a speedy recovery. Zaluska your clearances are a fekn disgrace a total hospital clearance/pass if I've ever seen one. my pet hate about pro footballers that can't properly kick a ball. High lingering backspin wedge clearances that give players a chance to try and win a ball from a 30 yard run on. Obvs a mistake but * me that's one of the worst balls you can have two players challenge for.
I'm in no way blaming zaluska for this accident but with a better quality clearance it could have been avoided.
Anyways all the best Dylan :shamrock:

I think we're talking at least a few months with a broken jaw. But again, it depends and nothing official has been announced.

Next season might have to be his real breakthrough now.

That is a bad blow for McGeouch. He is technically very good. However, IMO he is never a winger or wide MF. He just doesnt have the pace or change of pace to do a winger role IMO. Future is surely more tucked in.

Good that he's not getting left behind. Horrible injury to have though, eating is supposed to be very painful. Hope he recovers soon.

Wishing him a speedy recovery! I thought he put in a confident and composed display until his injury - 6 weeks will fly by!

Sahin caught him in the jaw with a shoulder at full speed, Dylan went down straight away. Lay motionless for a good few minutes.

Real bit of class from Sahin, that's nice to see. Anyway 6 weeks isn't the end of the world, could have been a lot worse considering how serious it seemed at the time. Dylan was excellent up until that against RM and I have no doubts he'll come back ready to make a real claim for some first team football this season - just a shame for him our midfield is of such high quality!

My personal highlight was when he ripped the * out of Fabio Coentrao and just skipped right by him, despite the latter attempting to make a strong challenge.

I think Madrid were expecting it to be a lot easier than it was, considering they had put five past both LA Galaxy and AC Milan previously. Plus, we had been playing CL football just three nights before. The quality is there in our squad, no doubt about it. To match a strong Real Madrid side for most of the 90 minutes, when we're supposed to be SPL standard only, is no mean feat. The two goals we gave away were easily avoidable, especially the first one, which took an unlucky deflection from Rogne's attempted clearance.

By match do you mean defend well and create nothing? We done well considering the team we had out and other issues like the pitch and strip clash, but if we are happy with not creating anything in 90 minutes against a very good team, but a team clearly not really out of first gear then we are not setting the bar that high are we ?

Dylan was superb and showed he could be a cut above the rest in a few years, but I really feel the rest of the team should be showing the arrogance and confidence that Dylan was showing on the ball.

To be fair we didn't have a striker to create to.

By match, I mean go out and bring the game to them, instead of sitting back and not attacking whatsoever, as many other teams would do when confronted with Ronaldo, Kaka, Higuain and Benzema.

Considering we had no Stokes, Hooper, or Samaras playing, I think we done well with the chances we did create. There were times when our midfield play was superb, and as said above me, we had no real striker playing. Kayal and McGeouch were sensational throughout, and Ledley had that chance at the end of the first half where he skipped by three of their players and then unfortunately put it over the bar.
