If he signs would he be eligible for the Europa League? Would be good to have a player of his quality in for games of that calibre but I don't know how it works in regards to squad limits.

 

Who would he replace? Hooper or stokes? Id rather sort out defense than strikers at the mo.

The Europa League isnt that important. We need to get the title back this season and while we need to sort out the defence, we cant turn down the opportunity of signing a proven EPL player. Regardless of where he plays.

And it wont matter who he replaces if he is doing the business.

 

Oh I totally agree with you, I'd take the guy in a heartbeat and hope he signs for us since he could end up being the difference between winning the league or not come May. Just given that he's played against top quality opposition in the Premiership and at international level it would be ideal to have him available for those games.

 

Hopefully hes as good as he was a couple years ago, id definitely take him.

 

I agree, especially in OF games. The players who support Celtic don't want to win, they NEED to win and James McFadden is a big-game player.

 

Agreed kemosabe, he,s a quality player that a would love to have in the squad people on here must be blind if they dont want him signed, a think he would be an amazing adition, it kicks the * of the players already on the wings, it will lift us as well and i think he would score a lot of goals up here if he stays fit and we get him behind the strikers or were ever we play him


I hear he,s a celtic man as well so he will bust a gut for us, the reason the hunns have been good the last few seasons is because of luck and they have fans who will bust a gut like davis and naismith, players around that see there work rate then close down oposistion and get an extra spring in there step.... a agree a centre half is more important but he might be an amzing signing and a hope to * we get him

so another striker?.... is lennon's tactics for this season to hope that when other teams are ripping through our shambolic defence and scoring freely, at the other end our 4,5,or 6 strikers will always score one more. brilliant! * brilliant, we've been crying out for a top class cb for the last 3 years. why dosn't he address that issue rather than attempt to sign a player who's on his way down. and don't fall for ' it's always been my dream to play for celtic rubbish. if that was the case why not play for us when your at the peak of your game and not chase the big bucks. i'm sick of all theese players coming to celtic when there at the end of there careers or looking for a step up, not to a bigger club but a bigger pay cheque.
